These Right-WIng concepts of biology appear to emanate from a seventeenth-century text, known as "Aristotole's Master-Piece," which was a common "sex manual" in England and colonial America. This text was clandestinely printed and distributed throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth century, and served as a guide for sex, conception, and pregnancy.

Among its words of wisdom,

"Women, in order to conception, should avoid
all manner of discontent, and the occasion of it; for
discontent is a great enemy. to conception; and it so
dispirits either man or woman, that it hinders them from
putting forth that vigour which ought to be exercised in
the act of coition. When on the contrary content and
satisfaction of mind dilate the heart and arteries,
whereby the vital blood and spirits are freely
distributed throughout the body; and then arise such
affections as please, recreate, and refresh the nature of
man; as hope, joy, love, gladness and mirth. Nor does it
only comfort and strengthen the body, but also the
operation and imagination of the mind; which is so much
the more necessary; inasmuch as the imagination of the
mother works forcibly upon the conception of the child.
Women, therefore, ought to take great care that their
imagination be pure and clear, that their child may be
well formed."

Oh, look, an actual scientific study of the likelihood of a women getting pregnant from a rape. OH LOOK, its statistically the same as her getting pregnant form normal intercourse. Quote;

This means that of those 64,080 rapes in 2004-2005, minus the 15% of rapes that are of children under the age of 12 which gets us to 54,468 rapes of almost all reproductively-aged women, somewhere between 1,689 (3.1%) to 2,723 (5%) pregnancies from rape could have occurred in that year alone."

The right already knows they lose on social issues like anti-abortion or anti-immigrant or anti-contraception at the national level and at the state level. However they also know that it is easier to pass legislation at the state level without public input. They are behaving like dictators in state legislatures and Governorships. After all it ain't like the people are going to vote them out of office.
