Tonight's guests:
- Cristen Hemmins, organized opposition to Mississippi Personhood amendment in 2011
- Bob Herbert, distinguished senior fellow at Demos public policy advocacy center and a contributor for PolicyShop.net
And here's executive producer Bill Wolff with a look at what's being covered tonight (some assembly required):

With all the discussion in regards to abortion and women, why is there never a discussion on the responsibility of the man involved...should he have a medical procedure to prevent any further pregnancies?
The substance that causes rape victims to reject conception after being raped is called "Plan B".
Todd Akin defends male rights
Yes , the right of males to push women around has been on the decline for years. I believe it all began with the Rule-of-Thumb act , actually. That is went the male could no longer beat their women with a tree limb any bigger in diameter than his thumb. That was a major set back for male rights. Now women want rights over their own bodies ! ? Where will this all end ?? Equality ?? Do we really need to go that far ! ? Crap , I can not even beat my dog any more without people complaining. What about my feelings ?
I believe abortion for military females serving overseas is not permitted. I am wondering if abortion for stateside enlisted is available by military medical services.
Only if the mothers life is in danger. The military doesn't do abortions anywhere state side or overseas.
ouch
UGH, I can't believe the Family Research Council is supporting Todd Akin. http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/the-buzz-florida-politics/content/family-research-council-defends-todd-akin
"When told about what Akin said, Mackey replied, “I don’t know the science, I just know ‘gotcha’ politics.”"
Oh, I can! Akin's views on women and rape mirror Tony Perkin's beliefs!
Only ask about abortion availablity for military as there is rape in the military, by men in the military. Reference: "The Invisible War."
You are not kidding about the invisible war, but no one wants to talk about especially the higher ranking officers. They want to sweep it under the rug and if you fight it they turn it on you.
More help for my GOP friends
I have discovered nearly a million hard-voters that believe everyone must cross their eyes while standing on the right leg. ( note: they say standing on the left leg looks stupid ). Go-get-them guys. !!
PS: Sorry about sending you to those Nuts that thought every one would look better by shaving their behinds and walking backward. Now that was a silly idea.
Just FYI - "In the vast majority of states, a rapist has the same custody and visitation rights to a child born through his crime as other fathers enjoy."From - An Open Letter to Rep. Akin From a Woman Who Got Pregnant From Rape - Shauna Prewitt
I will like to suggest that the Women in government table a bill, to say that any law for discussion pertaining to women, must have an equal number of women to men testifying, and if not then women will have the right to convene all female panel regarding to men's affairs. There does not seen to equality in governing, i believe its time, this must change
We are truly beginning the first act of "The Handmaid's Tale"... how can we be seriously considering to take action(or lay back and allow the action to take place) of the things shown in Rachel's show. And I mean "we". What have "we" done to spread the word??? To tell others, our friends, family, even a perfect stranger? We sit and watch what Rachel shares with us, and agree whole-heartedly...but what do "we" do then? Do we tell others? or do "we" leave it on Rachel and msnbc to carry the weight and hope others see these shows, while doing nothing orselves.. If anyone has read "The Handmaid's Tale" they may remember that what made the "maid" and what made her world was never really spoken about in the book...like a history erased. So if you have read this far do this:
Post here your story on what you do to spread the impending acts that you watch here and are moving through this country, do you call your sister? Your best friend? your mom/dad? We should see what we can do to keep us from becoming the history of "The Handmaid's Tale" ...
