It’s nice to see the Republicans making the most out of the “Eastwood to Empty Chair” debacle that symbolizes the disastrous RNC last week in Tampa. And who best to jump on the “Empty Chair Day” theme than Sarah Palin, who was not even invited to her own party’s convention.

Where is this 1 Billion democracy aid going to come from? Medicare? Social Security? Programs to help the poor?
Better yet, why doesn't the government get the money from the oil companies since that is what this 1 billion is really for. The flow of oil.
The American Government doesn't really want democracy in the Middle East because if that happens the US won't be able to control those countries. The US likes dictators and the like because they can buy and control them. That's part of the game.
Looks like we are going to forgive about a billion in debt that Egypt owes us. Given that the newly-formed Islamic utopia is slowly burying itself under trash and sh!t, it doesn't matter. We couldn't collect on it anyway.

Obama wants the "stoner vote"? Then perhaps it would be a good idea for him to call Holder and tell him to back off busting medical marijuana growers. Just a thought. I haven't gotten my call yet.
Personally, I just love the characterization of anyone who uses cannabis (medical or recreational) as a "stoner". If everyone turned green who has tried or currently uses cannabis there would be a WHOLE LOT of surprises. Not that many would be sitting on a couch eating cheetos and watching cartoons. In fact, if this President would end the ridiculous war on drugs, I'm guessing you'd find a lot of "green" people in the voting booth in November.
Okay, I watched the Romney speech...again. Its like picking at a scab. Okay, is it just me but was he making weird faces through the whole thing? I'm not sure what the expressions were. I think he was attempting to look disappointed? I have a lot to talk about when it comes to the Fortress de Republicana and the Lie Fest. But I'm stuck...and where did they get all those Hispanic people? Feh, I am off to work...why did his face look like that?...
No it isn't just you. I believe that deep down, Mitt is having trouble with his inner self when he tries to put all this stuff over on us and it shows through in his expressions. It reminds me of George Wallace when he ran his segregration campaign many years ago. Wallace adopted all his rigid views against integration to gain votes in the South. As you know, he took public stands on issues that divided our nation. Later, he recounted that he didn't feel that way about Blacks (that was his word) at all. He said his African American (not his words) Nanny was like a family member to him and it was very hard for him to say those things. I believe you are seeing the real Mitt trying to come out.
Re: Trickle down economics.... If Romney has $250,000 and retired from Bain, how many jobs has he or his family created in the last 10 yrs.? Maybe rich companies create jobs but most rich people just protect their money - say in off shore accounts - and use it to enhance THEIR lives not create on-going jobs on a large scale. Not counting their gardener/s, cook/s, house cleaner/s, stylist/s of course.

Why do we keep letting Republicans and the Tea Party get away with this "little white lie" about our economic troubles. Here's what they are telling viewers that no one refutes:
"You ask us what are we going to do about our economic situation? Think of it this way. If it was your family and your own home, how would you get out of trouble? You're deep in debt and you can't pay all the bills. There's not enough money coming in. How do you solve it? Well, you simply say we're gonna stop all this spending until things are better and we can afford more. That's the answer. It works for your family and it will work for our country. And we're gonna do that!"
But here's an analogy of what Republicans and the Tea Party are really up to:
"Because we've accumulated all this debt, we are going to stop paying the insurance on the car and the house, the utility bills, the garbage bill, and we are going to cut the grocery bill in half--no matter what! That's what Ryan and the Tea Party in the House of Representatives have been doing to our country! Long ago, they refused to cooperate with the President and the rest of Congress on the necessary things to keep our country going. That's why we are teetering on this fiscal cliff that everyone is talking about! That's why we don't have a JOBS BILL!! But no one catches them when they give us this little "analogy".
Could someone please confront them when they present viewers with this "normal campaign exaggeration"?

Your facts are incorrect. Bill Orielly will do the Factor from Charlotte (just like RNC), there will be an 1 1/2 hours coverage each night, 2 1/2 hours on Thursday, each followed by Greta's show live from DNC (just like the RNC). I'm not sure what Hannity is doing or what he did in Tampa, don't really like his show and I'm usually watching TRMS at that time...

Maddow is establishing her "not a Democrat" bonafides. The word is slowly getting around that Maddow said in her recent "Rolling Stone" interview that she's "not a Democrat" and that she is a depressive. Perhaps she's a liberal-tarian with conservative leanings. At any rate, she no longer dresses in Pretend Democrat garb. When she smacks around Dems. and the President, it doesn't nearly carry the sting as when she was a pretend Democrat. Maddow's not a Dem, not a Repub, not an Independent, and not a member of any party. She's sort of a political ghost, with a talking show. She's gonna, reliably and predictably, smack everybody around, it's just what she do. Until everyone is a liberaltarian with some conservative leanings, she's not gonna be a happy camper. She's a true catbird, and catbirds are just bound to be conflicted. Gobama!

Looking forward to 4 days of the Pres. making me feel good about being average and middle class when what I want and what I aspire to and what I work so hard for is so much more. I would never let my kids feel that it is ok to be average and that they should only aspire to make it to the middle class. Bad message from the Pres and the Dems. Being adequate is not good enough.
