Cue up the music! Da Da Daa Da Da Daa.
Ew. I'll never be able to un-see that.
THAT'S FUNNY!
Yo,
AdrianAdelson!Cute, but too meta. There are wayyyy too many conservatives out there who see Romney like that anyway (wrapped in the flag, and didn't he beat a black guy in a few of those movies?), and wouldn't get the joke if it slapped them.
The guy who gives MILLIONS to Middle Class Charity and tons of his time to charity... as long as it's MORMON charity. Mitt Romney is a Free MArket Corporations are People guy who believes in Maximizing Profits as long as it's HIS profits = He will do EXACTLY as he's PAID the MOST to do.
Has Romney visited a flag factory yet, like Poppy Bush did in 1988?
I want to ask ALL of you to read a couple of articles that will show many of the things that President Obama has done for America since he has been elected president. On your computer do a Google search for the following articles. The first article is called ‘Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments’ and the second article is called ‘The Incomplete Greatness Of Barack Obama’, the third article is http://obamaachievements.org/list and the forth is ‘what do Americans think of Obamas performance as a president’. Then do a search for ‘President Obama’s accomplishments’. And Google in ‘President Obama’s accomplishments’. Another great article about Romney and Bain is written by Matt Taibbi and can be viewed by doing a Google search for ‘Greed and Debt, The True Story of Mitt Romney and Bain Capital’. Also Google in ‘The Federal Bailout That Saved Romney’. Another shocking article to look up on your computer by doing a Google search is ‘Romney, Bain, and El Salvador’ which is about how Romney helped in one way or another to finance terrorist in El Salvador that killed 75,000 peasants and wounded and terrorized many many thousands more. They even killed a Bishop as he was saying Mass. Romney knew about these slayings yet kept financing these terrorist in one way or another. Also we have to get people to go to President Obama’s web site to read the MANY things on the web site that shows what President Obama has done. Also on the Obama web page is a lot of information about what Romney has done at Bain that isn’t being told by the news media that the public need to know before the election. Unfortunately all that President Obama has done for America and why he did what he has done hasn’t been put out to the public enough. So please get as many other people as you can in every way that you can to also read these articles. Use Facebook, e-mails, twitter, word of mouth or other ways to get people to read these articles. We have to do this soon. What I would like is for many of you to join in and let’s put on a campaign to have these articles printed and mailed to every household in every state. Do the closely contested states first. We ALL have to chip in to make sure that President Obama and the Democrats win and that the Republicans lose. Read my web page at http://www.mybetteramericaplan.com for more information about President Obama’s presidency and how he handled it It is on the Current Events section and on the Home section of my web page at the bottom half of the section.
Thanks for the information. I supported President Obama in 2008 and still support him in 20112. I think he is a very good president and I really hope he is re-elected.
Obama 200/2012
Wait, shouldn't he have the flag of the Cayman Islands wrapped around him?
How dare you insult Switzerland like that !...
We all know he had more money in his swiss bank accounts than the ones in the cayman islands !..lmao..
He should be draped in the great red and white colors of Switzerland !...
On Friday, Rachel called Rocky IV the worst Rocky movie. That statement was patently false; Rocky V was the worst Rocky movie. A quick trip to Rotten Tomatoes will show that IV was rated as 44% fresh, while V was only 25% fresh. When can we expect Rachel to retract her patently false statement?
TRMS: you guys SO deserve a time-out for this! Bad TRMS! Bad!
Agreed, Chris. I actually like Rocky IV quite a bit better than III. V was just bad, although Rocky Balboa wasn't exactly a cinematic wonder either.
I keep have this image of Lolo teaching Barack Soetoro how to box. Maybe it has to do with the ferocity of the drone strikes. I don't know. His step father had some experiences with the bloody slaughter of Communists after a CIA backed coup in Indonesia. Obama learned some lessons of power from him-
Ms. Maddow (did I get that right?), seems to have a single party viewpoint. I'm interested in seeing what extreme viewpoints have to say. I disagree with both sides. Somewhere in the middle is clarity and the truth. Ms. Maddow, seems to have a very one sided view. It's interesting we can all find areas to confirm our viewpoints, but few to debate them. Cheers to Ms. Maddow success. Now, may I see her present opposing viewpoints? She's an effective one-sided speaker. Too bad she's not - dare we say - unbiased press?
Do you have any specific issue you wish to discuss, or are you making the observation that media pundits have opinions?
Actually, Maddow is sharply critical of the Democrats on many issues. Take her criticism last Friday of Holder's refusal to prosecute any of the murders of detainees held at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. That story was not complimentary to the Obama administration. Dr. Maddow certainly has a perspective and its her job to tell you why she thinks what she thinks is true. She's good at that, but she doesn't expect you to believe what she says based on blustering assertions or misstatements of fact.
I want the National Review to have an opinion and to present to me their reasoned arguments why they think what they think. Presumably you think that is a bad thing and you have no use for their opinions either.
Reasoned positions and arguments, backed by logic, are integral to the political process.
Unreasoned positions based on mysticism, lies, and fear, are not.
The exercise here is to point out the unreasonable "opinions" and "arguments" based on lies and misinformation. The reason that this appears as "liberal punditry", then, is because lies and misinformation are all that the current Republican party has to offer.
Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of honorable conservatives with decent ideas, but you aren't seeing them represented in the Right at this time.
"I disagree with both sides. Somewhere in the middle is clarity and the truth." - maddow - single party viewpoint
A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
Brooklyn, you know that maxim cannot be mindlessly applied universally. We know it can't because science and journalism would cease to exist. Both depend on facts, which are not a matter for compromise. Either the solar system is heliocentric or it is not. Either Ryan voted for defense cuts in the Budget Control Act or he did not.
Now certainly there is room for compromise on matters where we must balance competing needs. For example, should we hire more public school educators, or is it better that the 1% get bigger tax breaks? But it seems to me there has been one party that has taken a no compromise position.
Take a listen to the Colin Powell interview played on Zakaria's GPS show talking about what has been lost from the republican party. In particular, it's attitude towards Comity.
Huntsman is of the belief that the GOP must spend some time in the wilderness before it comes back to its senses about governance. Many on think that they will go the way of the Whigs if they keep that up.
I am far to the left of Obama, and I don't think a dominant single party is a good thing. The GOP needs to get its act together about the yahoo angry white men who have hijacked it.
So both on the applicability of your maxim to truth, and its application to the current political situation, you are mistaken.
I would add that many Maddow critics here throw around epithets like "hate-filled" and "biased," etc. But I have yet to see any who convincingly dispute her facts. You can choose to object to the stories she chooses to report, or her interpretation of them, but you're going to have a very hard time disputing
herthe facts.Mr. Romney appears to have taken Mr. Ryan's suggestion and has begun P90X. Look at those abs!
