Soundtrack for the Americans who fell in Benghazi. Ulili E (ukelele)
It is in Hawaiian- some expressions from it:
..Ever watchful on the beach
..Where the sea is peaceful and calm
..Voices of the peace are soft and sweet
..Thank you for gracing our land
I truly hope someone, perhaps you Rachel, will take a close look at the statement from the US embassy in Egypt: nothing in those words suggests apology. All day folks are talking around this. Romney made an accusation the target of which did not do what he said it did.
Sinply ask your self if Mitt has any foreign experiance other than chosing an overseas bank account.Maybe he is in over his head.
I notice the Republican mouthpieces at Fox (Hannity has Ann-Hole Coulter on) are still pushing the notion that our President is an "appeaser". This quasi-Republican cabal reeks of desperation and hatred.
Same sort of themes on AM radio. I was listening to the local hate radio station frequently today for some signs they would let up and speak some messages of unity and patriotism.
It is depressing. Every variation of social ostracism and hateful meme punctuated by endless spiels for survivalist food, testosterone boosts, and gold. Even in the wake of 9-11, it just cannot penetrate their bubble.
I get the feeling that injecting more testosterone will not solve their problem.
Obama is/was trying to be an appeaser. That was the whole point in the statement released by the embassy and the statement released by the White House. Embassies exist as a tool of diplomacy. They are supposed to make countries we consider to be our allies feel good about themselves and when any unfortunate incident happens involving the US and said country we are supposed to use those diplomatic ties and good feelings to build a bridge. That's the whole bleeping point of diplomacy. You aren't suppose to walk into the room with a bunch of pistols and start screaming everyone do what I say or I'm going to shoot you! You're supposed to exercise in de-escalation, you're supposed to listen, you're supposed to provide aid, and even if it's necessary apologize or provide a clear directive as to how your nation will solve a problem if your nation is to blame for a problem. That's called leadership. Being an appeaser doesn't mean something bad unless you are a sociopathic ding-dong who thinks the only way he can get anything he wants is via force. And only cowards act that way.
Hi John, the act has become so transparent that many people are either tuning out the "noise" or listening merely to laugh at the vile vapid emptiness. Most people with a sense of what's happening have learned to press their mental 'ignore' button on this whole Republican campaign because of it.
Tooner - seems some of the democracy-loving Lybians don't share your vision of diplomacy.
The American idea of diplomacy used to be showing up with a sandwich in one hand and a gun in the other, and asking which one they wanted. Of course, we started showing up without the sandwich, and instead walking in the room firing while singing the national anthem at the top of our lungs, which is problematic... What's more problematic is that the GOP thinks the shoot-first-shoot-later-shoot-the-bodies-to-make-sure-they're-dead "diplomacy" is the way it should be.
How did Romney know so much, so soon, about the Bengazi situation? I'm very suspicious about the early messages from the Cairo embassy and Romney's equally early knowledge before 10:00 pm last night. Could it be that some Adelson or Koch money could have been spent to create agitation in another country or countries.
Maybe Mitt's only foreign policy experiance is picking an overseas bank account. Sounds like he is in over his head.

This is dumb I tried to correct the spelling and it just csme back and wanted the same thing over again.
Romney/Ryan are disgusting! Trying to score political points on the day of such tragedy, people really need to think about what kind of president Willard Mitt would be.
How ludicrous for Romney to complain about our Embassy stating that the USA stands for religious freedom. Is that not precisely our value? Perhaps it isn't for the extreme Republican Party, but thank God they aren't the whole country.
Can no one shut this mental incompetent up? This morning Putin is saying that since Romney considers Russia our main enemy, he is not going to support the NATO proposal.
In my humble opinion, Mr. Romney can pat himself on the back for the increase in violence in Egypt, Libya and Yemen and the deaths of not only the 4 we have already lost, but any future attacks on our embassiesy.
It is disgusting to see this mountebank pretending he is already President of the country. He "tours" disaster sites as if he had something to offer. He "issues statements" like he has some grasp on diplomacy (or lack thereof). He pokes his Pinocchio nose in places he has no business and in the process offends our strongest supporters.
I think the time has come for our media to withhold airing of his appearances until his comments regarding any foreign entities have been deleted. He is almost acting like a member of Al Queda - creating not only a higher degree of enmity with those who already hate us, but turning our international friends into enemies.
I am shocked that there are any citizens of the United States that are so filled with hate and venom for our President that they could vote for this disgusting, arrogant, comassionless robot.
