hey, how about it? any news you can share?
Miss Maddow you are an idiot! You absolutely loathe anyone who does not agree with you! No matter how bad a job Obama does as long as he supports gay rights you think he is the grandest thing! What are you going to do when Romney absolutely destroys Obama? Wait! Not Romney because he is not a lot of voters first choice but ANYONE but Obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Rachel Maddow,
I live in Sunderland, MA and volunteer at Valley Free Radio. I know you have been supportive of this station. Some of us are looking for a progressive alternative, so why not interview Jill Stein of the Green Party or Stewart Alexander of the Socialist Democratic party. Both are alternatives to Romney or Obama. It saddens me that MSNBC has become such a supporter of the Obama administration (like Fox is of almost all things Tea Party/Republican) even though Obama is pushing neoliberal agendas, trade agreements that have been described as NAFTA on steroids, and appointed former executive of Monsanto to the FDA just to name a few things we should be critical of and respond to with critique. Media is supposed to be independent not just independent media. I would love to hear stories on these other alternatives....P.S. why is the discourse about the middle class with very little mention of poverty or the poor...the discourse should not be about "building the middle class" but rather about creating a society that doesn't disenfranchise minority groups, the underprivileged, and underrepresented and those marginalized...sure building the middle class offers some away out of disenfranchisement and marginalization but it also solidifies and normalizes practices that continue to value some ways of being over others. For example, not everyone's American Dream is to be wealthy, own a house, and have 2-3 kids...for some it is about building sustainable communities through alternative economic models that don't ask whether we want to be middle class, but rather, how do we take care of everyone.
One interesting aspect of Romney's little tirade against the 47% is that "the 47%" includes significant numbers of people in two groups Romney is supposedly trying to woo: 1) older people on social security who don't have enough other income to pay federal income taxes; and 2) people who unemployed or underemployed and, therefore, don't make enough to cover their exemptions and deductions.
People over 65 are the only age group in which Romney has a lead. Calling many of them freeloaders who don't take responsibility for their lives seems like a strange way of maintaining their support.
Romney calling into question the motivation and willingness to work of people who have been damaged by the economic downturn, many of whom have been out of work for many months, if not several years, doesn't seem like the best way of convincing them to vote for him.
How much of a defection from these two groups can Romney afford?
His job is not to woo, but to represent all U.S, citizens, his belief system is that of all Republicans, it doesn't work in a free Democratic society. He doesn't play fair and he operates from his own set of rules which only include 1% of the Country, he has chosen money over everything that our Country stands for.
Something isn't adding up here.
At around 5:08 in the video, the questioner says, in part, "in two months before the elections".
Later, David Corn says the video was made in Boca Raton on May 17, which is nearly six months before the elections.
Perhaps Mr. Corn is trying to provide some cover for his source, but it is puzzling. Any theories?
God works in mysterious ways.
Ummm - your point is . . . ?
Can't wait to hear Rachel tonight. Mitt finally took a foreign policy position
Can you say "lead from behind"?
