Something else needs to be said about the 47%. You all know that Bain Capital under Romney's watch owned companies like Burger King, Domino's, Dunkin Donuts, etc., all of which employ minimum wage workers. (People like) Romney made millions on the backs of minimum wage workers who work hard everyday, pay payroll taxes but not income taxes, whom he now disdains as victims, dependent, and who don't take personal responsibility and care for their lives. Could you please do some research or at least some estimation on the number of 47 percenters employed by companies like Bain Capital?

Gov. Romney has no idea what a typical American goes through on a daily basis. His statement that he doesn't have to worry about 47% of the American population because we are dependant on the government and we do not take responsabilty for our lives is rediculous.

I am lucky to have had a steady job my entire adult life (18 years) and have not had to ask for any assistance from the government. I pay income taxes each year. I pay my families health care and pay out of my own pocket to attend college at night, so I can better my life. I sound like an irresponsible adult.

Mitt your statement indites you. It shows the American people that you are only looking out for the elite. Mr. Governor your the magician that is standing on stage after the smoke dissipates with an awkward grin realizing that your out of tricks.

I will never understand people who see what he wants to do as President, who hear him talk as though a huge portion of America is just dirt under his feet, who hear him rant and rave and prove that he has no idea of what real life is for the working people of this country, and then still want him as their President. Voting for him is akin to voting for your own execution and electing him your executioner.

Rachel, To me the most troubling and telling part of the fund raising video and the one part that has garnered very little attention is Mr. Romney discussing the girls in the Chinese factory that he was visiting. While he is usually robotic in his speaking, he is animated and almost giddy about the working conditions, the guards, the guns, the fence, and the disposable nature of the female workers. I think it is great that Mitt says Americans "think they are entitled to food, health care and housing." As the richest country in the world, ALL our citizens should have enough to eat, should have a safe place to live and should have health care. We just spent 3 TRILLION on wars.... How much food, shelter and health care would that have purchased??? Are we a heartless Nation? Is it ALL about the money? Who can say "You don't deserve to eat today?" "You don't deserve to be warm and safe?" "You don't deserve to be healthy." I am so sick of the people that inherit their wealth and are born with advantages pointing their fingers at struggling people and saying... It is your fault you are poor. They are BORN on third base and act as if they "hit a triple". Instead of wars, I want more programs to "lift up" and help to those born in poverty. 20% of Americans control 88% of our country's wealth. I don't want lectures from them on how they "earned" it by working harder than anyone else.... I want them to pay their fair share in taxes and stop hiding their wealth off shore. I want them to invest in America instead of sending good jobs overseas and leaving us with sevice industry jobs that pay minimum wage that will not support a family. They are CREATING the poverty and then judging poor people.
