Romney: "this is a campaign about the 100%."
Romney on helping the poor: "I can. He can't."
Romney is going to hit the campaign trail more often.
Let's take a look at that 1998 Obama "redistribution" clip.
Topics announced for the first Obama-Romney debate.
A Texas court stops the state from purging presumed-dead voters from the rolls.
Arctic sea ice reaches a new, record low.

Oh, by all means, let's see a lot more of Mitt out in the real world. That way we can REALLY get a flavor of what Mitt Romney is all about.
O has all of the really good flippy floppy videos saved up for the last two weeks of the campaign. Willard will probably gaffe out the debates, so they won't be needed, anyway...... Willard has really hoisted himself on his own petard.
Romney:This campaign is about the 100%(wink wink).Yes 100% of the 1%,that's what he's mean's.
Antartic sea ice hits new high.

Lordy, no wonder liberals are never happy, you're all sea half empty kind of people.

Like I said, the left is eager to find the dark lining of every cloud.
You guys know better than to try to appeal to Shooter with facts, figures, and science. Nothing gets through partisan bubbles.
You have to appeal to his patriotic and corporatist emotions.
Here, Shooter, think of it this way:
Global warming / climate change, whether it's eventually proven absolutely true or not, is a great reason to grow up a domestic industry including research and development, and increase domestic jobs for hardworking Americans, before foreign countries like China dominate it. We beat the Soviet Union to the moon, we can beat Germany to the first infinite mileage car.
Finding a path to renewable energy independence will lessen the need to pursue relationships with less civilized, extremist, and dangerous anti-American nations and terrorist groups, where we end up sacrificing American lives.
By redirecting subsidies for finite fuel companies to renewable energy companies, we support American start-up and small businesses. Heck, we may even encourage the finite energy fuel companies to do R&D into renewables to bolster their bottom line in the long-term.
There's American dollars to be made and domestic jobs to be created with this environmental threat, whether you believe it or not. Do you want those jobs and dollars to go to China, Germany, or India?
No, of course not. USA! USA! USA! USA!
Boston Globe had an interesting article about Mitt's father, who fled Mexico and whose family relied on government handouts to get by, was not much like his son at all, or vice versa, whatever, Mitt is truly one despicable human being for so many reasons.
Congratulations, TRMS!

You beat BillO in the key demo, two nights in a row; just incredible. Keep up the good work. Hard work slays the dragon. BillO will probably start name calling tonight.
It's funny, this ratings news, because it coincides with the Stewart-O'Reilly debate on October 6.

Pundits, including TRMS, need to get out of their boundaries and reach out to the non-choir. Here, O'Reilly gets to do some charity work, while making his case to Stewart's market for a demo market bump.
You can see what reaching out does, with the DNC broadcast to the Fox News market. Obama, Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives message a market that usually turns them off, and despite the Fox News counter-messaging, you see the poll bumps with momentum shift in that direction. Add the Romney stumbles, viewers end up looking for something different from their normal news source, and you get the ball being handed to MSNBC, TRMS, and Lawrence O'Donnell.
Like Stewart exposing hypocrisy through comedy, let's see some truth exposed by investigation. A few more people who don't normally watch the show are now watching you.
47 days until the 2012 elections. Run with the ball, guys. Straight to daylight.
Romney and the 4 Senators who helped write and then defeat the Vets Job s Bill should be taken to task. Is recall an option ?? These republicans truly don't represent the masses. A pox on all their houses. They will cash their government paycheques though won't they. Romney won't, he is part of the 47% (those who don't pay federal income taxes). He has a good gig - part of the 1% and the 47% at the same time. Be sure to vote, your country is depending on it.
Congrats. to Maddow and O'Donnell for finishing #1 in their time slots in the 25 to 54 demo. against their Fox rivals in their time slots for the last 2 nights. MSNBC is still experiencing a Democratic convention glow, and the all important 25-54 demo. may well be shifting in large numbers away from Fox. The truth is that almost no one in the country watches any cable news, anytime, under any circumstance, but this development is nevertheless highly significant. Hurrah!
I called an left messages of disgust and disappointment at the fecklessness of the four Senators who voted against the vet bill they helped draft. You should all do the same.
Unfortunately, they don't mention that specific bill, but today, Senate Democrats call out the congressional obstruction that prevents work from getting done:
http://www.c-span.org/Events/Senate-Democrats-on-Congressional-Legislation/10737434278/
It won't be enough to just reelect Obama; the congressional obstruction that prevents bills like that from being enacted also needs be voted out, and replaced by elected officials that will cooperate for the public good. That obstruction resulting in the worst congress in recent history needs to be replaced with real politicians.
Someone get Joe Biden a plunger to carry around as he stumps. When asked why he's carrying a plunger, he can wave it around and reply: "Because, I'm the real Joe the Plumber and the Congressional pipes are blocked. It's time to vote the obstructionists out!"
Who are you more proud of a soldier wearing a helmet or someone wearing a hat with tea bags hanging off it's rim. Who are you more disgusted by someone who has to eat with the help of food stamps or pays $50,000.00 for one plate of food. What country would you rather live in one that offers several brands of bottled water or one you have to walk miles to find a mud hole and share the water with animals. How about those air conditioned malls much better then being in a hot tank heading into battle. The ability to vote even if it means you may have to do jury duty or fight and loose your life trying to have the freedom to express yourself. God Bless The United States Of America and God help us if we become divided.
I absolutely love the background from RMS's "DADT one year later" piece that says "Kept Calm, Carried On". Is it possible to make that graphic available? I think my LBGT students would love something like that for the class / school. A secret message of strength and "this too shall pass"-ness... Thanks
