How many times does Romney Campaign need Rebooting, more times then my Cpmputer which is once a week.. :>)
Dang you have a good computer!
Perhaps a new meaning for the "Blue screen of death"?
Eventually, a reboot has no impact.
Hide Air Force One...quick!!! Especially if Romney gets elected president. He'd probably have windows that open installed. Of course, this would probably lead to the shortest presidency ever, leaving us with Paul "Lyin'" Ryan as president (unless Romney also remodeled Air Force Two, that is). Come to think of it, hide Air Force One, Air Force Two, all U.S. military aircraft, hide the White House, hide Washington D.C., just to keep Romney and Ryan away!!!!
:>)
I have heard they installed windshield wipers on his "Etch-A-Scetch,,,,
Rachel, please call Scott Brown out. I am part Native American and I have some Native American blood that is not registered (for lack of a better word). It HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. When the government asked NA's what amount of blood they had, the government just marked down whatever they wanted. My great grandfather didn't like what the government was doing to his people and refused his entire life to let the government give him a label. I actually have even more Native American blood than I am enrolled as (1/8th). I am getting rather tired of watching people talk about this issue when they don't even understand it. Get an expert on please. And what kind of comment is "Just look at her," she doesn't even look Native American. I fully believe Warren is part Native American. I have no doubt. And if Scott Brown wants to imply certain things when he mentions affirmative action, I guarantee he has nothing to worry about. Native American's are the poorest and have the highest suicide, teen pregnancy, and alcoholism rates. But thanks, Brown, for being absolutely no help and making judgements about a culture you know nothing about.
Scott Brown is a moron. I know several blonde part native americans.
For the last 35 years I have worked and lived on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. I have known and worked with tribal members during this time. Most tribal members are dark with recognizable features. Many have mixed blood with white features but very definable Native features. Then there are many tribal members from recognizable Indian familys that if you didn't know them and where they were from would swear they were of white blood. But they are Native in every way and accepted by the Tribe as Shoshone. I am of Welsh and German descent with no Native blood and have had Native Americans several times during those years ask me if I was Native. For God sakes... Scott Brown is an Ass and totally stupid and ignorant....
But but, inter-racial relationships resulting in kids? That is just as improbable as rape resulting in impregnation !
The reason Romney's taxes are important: did he personally exemplify his tax policy by investing his personal wealth in job creation (beyond servants and stable boys), or did he just squirrel away his wealth?
Just a thought about who Scott Brown might be
appealing to in his attacks on Elizabeth Warrens Indian heritage.
Mashpee Tribe v. New Seabury Corp.
592 F.2d 575 (1st Cir. 1979)
This could be part of Scott Brown’s attempt to rouse his constituency. I would venture to guess that they are mainly white males 55 and older who remember this case and still angry over what happened in the 70's.
Having lived in MA during that time I remember the anger over the “Indians” wanting to be compensated for the sale of these lands.
This was only recently settled in 2007 when both parties agreed to settle.
The anger at that time over individuals who called themselves Indian that were either 1/32 or 1/16 Indian was palpable. As I recall residents of MA hotly discussed the Indian demands. Most people thought that these were faux Indians and opportunists and not really Indian.
I guess I am showing my age.
So when I listen to Scott Brown's attacks it must be taken in context of who is targeting and the anger he is rekindling over bringing up this old wound. Sometimes things are simpler than it appears. It is divisive and despicable and racist. It could be about Affirmative Action but it could simply be powering up the base over an old wound.
It is also about Warren being female. He has no respect and I am sure he resents her cool and her education. Evidently Brown has some self esteem issues, being known several times to have said how he *has secret meetings with Kings and Queens*. In his dreams :-)
I have lived the last 35 years on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Most Native Americans are recognizable as such. But many tribal members are of mixed blood with white features but obviously Native American. Then others are from familys that are recognizably Native American but they would appear to be of white descent. They are all tribal members. I am of Welsh and German descent with no dark features and have been asked a couple times by Tribal members if I was Native. They are all socially and mentally by tribal standards, Native. Scott Brown is an ignorant Ass.
I've followed the Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown race with interest. I am a native of Oklahoma (as in -- born in OK) and like many, many people born in the state, our family claims Native American (Cherokee) heritage. I never saw documentation of our family ties as a child but sought out confirmation as an adult. Warren's statements about her heritage are so commonly made by Oklahoma residents that I can't imagine the current MA debate ever occurring in OK. I always find Melissa Harris-Perry's comments insightful. But on tonight's broadcast I think she missed something. Scott Brown is in fact "speaking in code" about another type of affirmative action -- Warren's gender. He can't say she got her jobs or educational opportunities because she is a woman. He would be called sexist. But he can alert white males to her "obvious advantage" by saying she took advantage of her "race." He says she is "obviously white" but what he is really telling voters is SHE is obviously female -- and has unfairly benefited through affirmative action.
the thing about the U.S. selling some arms to Taiwan; what kind of arms? As contracts go through the DoD, I can find some helicopters from Boeing going to Taiwan. I, personally, have no idea how DoD or the Maddow show or any other media outlet can separate Taiwan from China.
How close diplomatically are Taiwan and China? I'll take that one. In today's news, as the governments of China and Japan are jousting over who owns a few small islets, the Chinese send ... fishing boats to get in the way from ... TAIWAN And, what is the stronger connection to Rachel's story? The 2 countries would not care about the islands except for the idea that there may well be natural gas near them to drill for below the water's surface
I am a resident of Akron, Ohio who normally votes by absentee ballot because we go to Fla. in Oct of each year. We recently received from the Summit County Booard of elections a form to fill out requesting absentee ballots. We promptly filled them out and sent them in. The following week we received the same form to fill out but this time the cover letter was signed by Gov. Strickland. gov. Kasich is our current Governor unfortunately. Is there a remote chance that this might be a Republican method to prove voter fraud by providing proof that voters intended to vote twice? A friend also received two requests but her name was mispelled on the 2nd.
