Romney/Ryan says wages in America will go up by directly competing with workers in third world countries. Some how US employment will increase to the point that there is an American worker shortage , so causing a raise in wages , and/or all third world countries triple their wages. All very possible. Or maybe most of the workers in China get hit by lightning, same mathematical probability. I still want to believe I will someday be paid $5000.00 an hour , like he pays himself.

This is completely apropos of nothing but; I do love it when Bob Herbert is Rachel's first guest because he's usually the one you can hear chuckling off-camera while she explains the latest absurdity of the GOP. It makes my day.

I must take exception with Rachel's use of just the President saying yes or no on a drone strike. Rachel, you fail to point out that there are usually weeks before a drone strike is ordered and it is ordered when tons of intelligence is there. You are trying to convey to your listeners that Obama says ok lets just use a drone strike. C'mon, you're better than that.

I agree with you on almost everything and you bring things to light one can find no where else. I will never agree with you regarding drones because we could always simply drop a real bomb on these thresholds of terrorist and walk away like Truman. Selecting targets is a much better way as there is no habeus corpus for anyone with the definition of a full bombing.

Regarding drone strikes: Both the Taliban and al Qaeda have sought and acquired sanctuary in Pakistan where they are, apparently, flourishing. So, while this new technology needs to have proper safeguards developed, I think it is preferable to sending in SEAL teams every time we ferret out who-done-its on someone's sovereign land. It would be nice if Pakistan could help in this effort when it occurs on their land, but, we know that's not going to happen.
