As I was riding home listening to MSNBC on the sat radio I heard yet again about Mr Romney having a lightly scheduled campaign day and a thought crossed my mind. What is it that could be explain why an older, mature man wouldtake inexplicable breaks in the midst of critical periods of a presidential campaign. I doubt that he is trying to throw the election on purpose but I am starting to wonder if there is health related reason. I don't want to come off as a left wing nut case or conspiracy theorist; however, it would explain why he took a vacation right after the most stressful event, the convention and why he is pairing with his running mate at events and not covering more ground by campaigning separately. He is an older individual, not noted as a physical fitness nut, he has been working at this for several years,a stressful process. He has trouble often remembering what his position is, requiring his staff to frequently walk back comments he has made. We could write this off as bad tactics, or the liars conundrum of not being able to remember what your last lie was or is a better explanation that he may have an underlying condition that explains his behavior. I am not a doctor, but I wonder what one would say if they examined his behavior with an eye toward that as a possibility.
He also seems very breathy and easily winded which has, had me concerned. I, like you, am not saying this because I am some wack-a-doodle lefty nut who thinks that just because he's a Republican he's therefore evil and therefore let's nit-pick everything. It's honestly had my concern and I think I've even posted a comment or two about it before (or at least had the mind to). He sounds either incredibly nervous or incredibly out of shape. He breathes more in conversations than Chris Christie or some other over-weight individual (which is what you'd expect from someone like Chris as the heavier you are the more weight compresses on the chest and therefore it limits the oxygen intake you have (this is why people who are obese typically suffer from disorders like sleep apnea at a greater ratio than the general population)). He breathes like you'd expect someone heavier-set to breathe. No that is NOT meant to insult heavier individuals (am one myself) nor is it meant to be a swipe at Chris Christie. My point is that if you look at Romney he doesn't look that out of shape. Which makes me think that perhaps this is an aesthetics issue where he looks good on the outside, but is very very sick on the inside. It has me concerned- this is especially so when he gives interviews and he has to pause and it seems like he's gasping to catch his breath and then he gets easily confused. I hope that he doesn't have pneumonia in his lungs or some other illness. I also sincerely hope he has seen a doctor about it and that he's not stubbornly ignoring the issue.
Oh, for Pete's sake. They're at it again!
Senate Republican Blocks a Cost of Living Increase for Disabled Veterans
As far as I'm concerned, until the asshat that's doing this steps forward and owns his own bullpucky, they're ALL guilty, guilty, GUILTY! Every single last Rape-Public-CON!
And, not for nothing, but the filibuster is not the only Senate rule Harry Reid needs to change!
Get Enraged and Engaged:
Mooch the Vote 2012!

Republicans must be hoping we all have very short memories. This also opens the possibility that they Definitely have short-term-memory-problems.
You know the President has a plan to get troops out of Afganastan, I don't think it's necessary to discuss this topic every night Rachel. I love your show but I think you are undermining the President at this point, and it's not a good idea. You may think you are doing the troops some good but your not. If we want to get our troops out of there, help get this President re elected, to ensure the troops will come home. As Mrs Pelosi tried to say, there is a plan, please let it be
OK , you are saying there are things going on that are best not “ over-looked-at “ , Right ? Maybe so , it is possible that we are not adult enough to take it. That certainly explains our poor Republicans doing the head in the sand act over why we are in this mess.
You were off-base tonite, Rachel. I feel as if you were talking down to me in showing statistics (and worrying that they may not depict what you want to show satisfactorily) and expecting those charts to fully explain the Afghanistan situation. Did the added attack come due to militia freed from other places, did more training camps in other areas come into play....What do you know or what are you privvy to that might explain that rise in attacks. To attack, in what I (perhaps mistakenly) perceive in a highly passionate and a less informed manner affects my assessment of the situation. What, you saw stacks and said "OMG, look at this!" Perhaps you could have had someone with more knowledge than you communicated explain this phenomenon or not but without some information on possible underlying causes, you have not done your duty to fully inform. I expect baseless, passionate attacks from FoxNews and Rush, the easy throw of the red meat, but you do yourself a disservice when you throw out stacks and impugn foreign policy with no more than that. We all want out. But a more dispassionate and informed discourse is needed and you did not provide that tonight.
I agree. Also I have hear that Rachel is crappy at keeping secrets. I once guessed that Romney was a war monger , ( after I read her book ) , and now she hates war , my bad. . .
Also worth discussing on today's show is the mathematical estimate that Obama is 92% to win
Yesterday was a disastrous polling day for Mitt Romney
On another matter. I saw where the RNC cut ties with a provider over fraud registration allegations. Maybe you could think that important on some other show.

i read the article - they're setting up to blame acorn.
and "isn't it suspicious that the democrats never get caught?"
We should have walked out on Netanyahu as well. OR we should give him a red line, one that says get out of the West Bank and E. Jerusalem and settle with the Palestinians withing 6 months or we'll cut off aid and military cooperation.
We are tired of your stalling on this matter. We don't like being draggesd into phony wars for the Likud party's expansionist desires. We don't like your being the root cause of terrorism against the USA.
We are going with M Dayan's wishes for a two state solution.

Do you think politicians from either party have the guts to do what's right?- and right for the USA.
Dark-Money. Sounds like the name of a band.
Sorry but this must be said.
Dear Mr. Wolff , Polities is not fun !! So quit it ! !
OK , please do not quit it. You are the only thing that makes me laugh any more. Ok, I am really lame. sorry ?
Bill, with 39-40 days left until the election, we NEED you guys to do a couple (or at least ONE!) segment on how easy it is to hack the computerized voting machines (Diebold type and others) that do not feature a paper trail to verify the vote counts.
Many of us around the country are sick with worry that the Right is becoming more and more desperate that not only will they fail to regain the Oval Office but lose their majority in the House as well, and that this desperation will lead them to cheat.
First of all, it's very easy to do. A machine can be rigged to give a false count in less than 5 minutes -- which means a person (or a team) would not need to have a lot of access to the rooms where these machines are warehoused between elections in order to set them up.
Second, once a machine is hacked, it performs perfectly well as designed -- with the only change being the final vote tally, and THEN the code that has been used to hack the CPU deletes itself and disappears without a trace. All that's left is the falsified vote tally.
And perhaps the scariest thing is the fact that this vote rigging doesn't need to be done across the country. All they'll need to swing the election in their favor is to steal key precincts in key swing states.
So we are BEGGING you guys to shed some light on this. Putting it out there might have a chilling effect on those who suddenly become afraid that the federal government (the Dept. of Justice? the FBI? the Senate Judiciary Committee?) could be keeping covert surveillance on warehoused voting machines in case anybody attempts to cheat. Even just an announcement by the government that SOME machines will be surveilled secretly might scare the cheaters off. So your report on this could stand to do a LOT of good for our democracy.
Thanks to you and to Rachel (and the team) for all the great work that you do!
With regard to Mr. Stanton being an Evil Overlord...
The Republican Handbook
After watching this guy now I see why the man-lady's show sucks donkey poop so much !!
it's trendy to bash ahmadinajad, and he's certainly an odious lot-- but when you people do so with a particularly jingoistic tone, you betray a corporate right-ism that is vulgar and false, participating in the msm big lie, and it's nauseating... and doesn't help your already suspect credibility at having to provide fair time to republicans or corporate right agendas... in the wake of the comcast takeover of your company.... i don't like iran any more than most americans, but there is something disingenuous about your pitch on the last story about the walk out on mr. a's speech today, and his departure from town... and shame on you for caving to the right on this....
listen if we didnt surpport isreal and we left the middle all together to them selfs do you think they would love us anymore people right or wrong this is the crusades in reverse.
