"The world's most popular psychoactive drug" via SciAm via Wellcome Image Awards.
One of the artists, Annie Cavanagh, describes her approach to making art with scientific images. For example, the one above started as a black and white electron micrograph and has been "falsely colored." That's the term for it, not an accusation. In some cases the color is added to make the image true-to-life, but in others, the color is more illustrative or purely decorative. I'm not sure orange/yellow/green neon is where I would have gone with caffeine.
What color is a caffeine buzz? Purple maybe?

The purple one has to be a Raspberry Mocha w/double shot of espresso!!
Oh my! I know what I'm ordering tomorrow. Thank you very much!
Amazing that it is feathery in substance. Helps us all take flight in the mornings!!
Purple haze.... 'scuse me while I kiss the sky.

Thanks be to Gaia.
Which one is the bitter one?
Very funny skit on SNL Saturday portraying Maddow and Mathews with Rev. Sharpton talking about the failed Obama debate performance. I linked to it on another blog segment but the thin skinned cowards (little boys with no testicular fortitude) deleted them. Get a MAN to write these blogs. Your Blog Author is a coward and a BIGOT.
Conservatives HAVE testicular fortitude, TRMS is on midol.
Video: SNL on debate – “The worst thing that ever happened”
posted at 12:31 pm on October 7, 2012 by Jazz Shaw
The recently reinvigorated cast of Saturday Night Live has been having a field day with the 2012 election and their ratings have shown a payoff for their efforts. Yes, the majority of their skits still tend toward skewering conservatives and Republicans, but to give credit where credit is due, they do take some shots at Obama when the target is too obvious to ignore. Such was the case with last week’s debate.
As pointed out over at Mediaite, they lined up their fake MSNBC cast for a panel hosted by their version of Rachel Maddow and featuring Chris Matthews with Al Sharpton to talk about “the worst thing that ever happened anywhere.”
They still managed to get in a collateral damage shot at conservatives by bringing in a fake S.E. Cupp, portrayed as a pretty but vapid observer who had no comments beyond smiling over Obama’s defeat. But even with that, it was a fairly glaring attack not just on Obama’s poor performance, but the totally vacuous nature of the MSNBC prime time lineup. The roughly four minute video follows and, for once, you may want to actually watch. The show stealer is, beyond a doubt, the Sharpton character.
Bonus: Doug Mataconis has the video of SNL’s other segment on the debate itself. The President had a bad night on SNL no matter how you slice it, and they reach a far more diverse audience than primarily conservative leaning media.

Breaking on Hot Air TRMS!
Posted with testicular fortitude and a Conservative Additude hahahahahaha
Obama-Care How it looks, How it Feels:
On October 5th, speaking to supporters in Virginia, Obama claimed that cost-free sterilizations, abortion inducing drugs and contraceptives were good because they would save money. He added about the law, "And we are going to keep it."
Obama has successfully married death to healthcare.

FAIRFAX, VA (Catholic Online) -The Catholic Church has sued the President over his unconstitutional mandate, clearly explaining that it requires religious institutions and individuals to help finance behavior that is blatantly immoral and evil. The Health and Human Services edict is at its core, unconstitutional.
Obama touted his healthcare package for providing preventative care, such as mammograms and cancer screenings, to which no person objects. However, lumping contraception in with "preventative care" essentially equates pregnancy with cancer and other unwanted illnesses.
Pregnancy is not an illness.
Consider the elegant, Orwellian nature of his remark, smoothly transitioning from cancer to pregnancy, almost as if they were similar conditions. "I don't think a working mom in Arlington should have to wait to get a mammogram just because money is tight. I don't think a college student in Fairfax or Charlottesville should have to choose between text books or the preventive care that she needs. That's why we passed this law. And I am proud of it. It was the right thing to do. And we are going to keep it."
To be clear, by "preventive care" President Obama means contraceptives, abortifacients, and even abortion.
He then blasted people of conscience by saying, "I don't think your boss should control the care you get."
This is another twist on words, since a boss cannot deny any person what procedures and pills they consume. Employers are only asking not to be forced, under threat of law, to pay for services that directly and explicitly contradict one of the most basic tenets of their faith.
Of course, the biggest lie of all is the very fact that contraceptives, abortifacients, and abortions are even part of the healthcare discussion at all. None of these things are consistent with human health, being inherently designed to prevent the formation of new life, and to destroy any life that is created.
When providing death, free of charge, is considered health care, we realize just how sick our society has really become.
Time to lay off the caffeine, IrishPat7 - you're overdosed and delusional.
Always the first response from a Maddow follower. You quote her writ & verse by parroting her attack methods, "Delusional". How many times has Maddow used that one? No Mary, some of us disagree with Maddow and the Blog Author and call them out for their shared bigotry and false premises and stories. Or simply refusing to report a story that may NOT lend to their agenda. Caffeine doesn't do that. Thinking for yourself, DOES!
Polly (Mary) wanna saltine cracker?
I don't think you,or anyone else, should be allowed to dictate what a woman does with her body. Your religious beliefs should not dictate public policy. No one is trying to force birth control on anyone, but there are plenty of people trying to deny it to others. If you don't like it don't use it, but don't presume to know what is right or good for others.
Exactly. And when a woman does decide to do something with her body, engage in sex, NOR should the government be made to supply contraceptives, abortifacs or sterilization methods aiding her by their contributions in giving free methods. Keep the gov't out of a woman's body and bedroom in ALL cases! The government is NOT responsible for a womans ( why does Sandra Fluke come to mind?) conventional or unconventional matters surrounding or associated with HER sexual habits or tendencies or behaviors. These too are PRIVATE. Keep Obama Biden and Obama Care out of a woman's womb or bedroom. That too is public policy abuse in YOUR terms.
Can you people please take your discussion to another room, people here are trying to observe and comment about some very masterful artwork. At least try and keep your voices down, some women here find the discussion distasteful.
The artwork is creative. Days of the week can be thought of differently too, Sunday-white, Monday-powder blue, Tuesday-pink, Wednesday-yellow, Thursday-green, Friday-red, Saturday-sky blue.
We need to be more aware that caffeine causes/exacerbates anxiety and other mental health conditions.
Just read the 170+ pages of comments of people trying to get off caffeine here; http://coffeefaq.com/site/node/11
And the research referenced here; http://caffeineevaluation.blogspot.co.uk/
Many people feel they cannot 'get going' in the morning without caffeine; in reality they are just experiencing withdrawal from not having ingested any over the previous hours.
A key point is the research showing anxiety sufferers can be very sensitive to caffeine; some people think 'it can't be the caffeine, I only have 1 cup a day', but for them that could be the key issue in their anxiety.
Withdrawal is not easy (especially first 2 weeks, when anxiety actually goes up), but is possible.
How about cutting all caffeine for 30 days and seeing how you feel? Like this lady here is doing; http://stopcaffeine.blogspot.co.uk/
I love coffee :) Not only for the pick-me-up effect but also for the good moments that coffee that are linked to it in my mind: comforting, energizing, coffee is more than a drink, it's an experience, it smells awesome, it tastes awesome, it's cheap also, and so easy to have one. I guess that some may feel the same for tea :)
We already knew that caffeine is great in moderation: http://ephedrinewheretobuy.com/ephedrine-where-to-buy-eca-stacks/coffee-a-true-wonder-drug
We know now that caffeine can also be beautiful :)
Cheers, Mike
