Your best bet for tracking Hurricane Sandy reliably is through the National Weather Service's National Hurricane Center map, below.
But if you like to look at maps with your tongue out and devil horn fingers, the Weather Underground's WunderMap is seriously OMG.

This is the BEST weather web site on the net.
Incredible for local & travel weather situation information.
If U aren't using this site yet, check it out.
Sorry, but the true geek version for coverage of tropical storms is found at:
http://spaghettimodels.com
One-stop shopping for all (and I do mean ALL) relevant data. Having been hit by 3 hurricanes in as many years here in Southern Maryland, I've come to rely on this portal for access to individual models, model ensembles, satellite loops and radar loops in mx flavors, storm surge predictions, cumulative rainfall plots, et al. It also links to NWS and Wunderground.
This is a site Nate Silver would love. In his "The Signal and the Noise" (a major awesome read, deserving of textbook status), he explores the increasingly accurate predictions by meteorologists, particularly w/r/t hurricane models. Check it out!
My top hurricane survival tip: wash everything you can in advance of power outages, including yourself.
(I see George Houser -- see below -- provided you all with the link to spaghettimodels before me! Mx sorry!!)
Jeff Masters and Weather Underground RULES! My favorite weather source (and I am a real geek-- they always gave me all the fun weather stories when I worked at that "other" cable news network).
It's the first thing I add to any feed reader I use!
Interesting new Twitter widget, btw. There is a way to run a Twitter feed without being based in a Twitter list, but I think you have to have the specific account login/password to generate the code for it. I could be wrong.
Twitter just can't figure out what it is doing with feeds, because some idiot prolly with a venture capital firm is making them think they have to monetize and act like a walled garden.
I need to tweak this one still. I should be running the list from @MaddowBlog instead of @WillAtWork. Or maybe I can find a way to hide that. At least it's not dead anymore though.
Ah, I see now how they've changed the Twitter widget interface. Bah.
OTOH, all you have to do is get Rachel to give you her log in long enough to create the widget, promptly forget it, and then you don't have to have it curated by any other account.
Stupid Twitter interface. I suppose all third party Twitter widgets have been cut off too?
RM...Speaking about big wind guts, anticipated for uncontrollable movement along the Atlantic coastline...now, into next week....aka The Next BIG Trump Election 2012 announcement: We just broke the story (sort of)...Wait for it.......here it comes....here it is: "Obama os black!!". END All above ficticious. Any similarity to real person(s), place(s) and/or event(s) coincidental Not responsible for errors. RM, with apologies, unable to follow up recently. Like an insurance policy..we are all, sometimes, subject to limitations, caps to deal with. To be continued, when possible. Keep great work coming.
hmmm, hurricane + arctic air....are you prepared for a blizzard?
The ultimate hurricane information is at http://spaghettimodels.com/
No! You must be kidding. America would never have a black president. Let alone elect one. No way, no how. It's just a Michael Jackson skin whitening proceedure gone wrong. It must be Speilberg's "Lincoln Part 2.. My Dream: A Black President" with tagline...let him deal with The Reconstuction... partnering sequel to "A Series Of Unfortunate Events".
I realize it's a nit-pick but....
Is the storm really expected to be so bad that PA gets blown into central NY?
