Anna, no, Obama and every presidential candidate before him has turned over their tax returns. Romney is hiding them because he evaded paying taxes. If you want Obama's school records, they are not locked away, they are confidential, but then you would need Mitt's records. You all are still trying to prove Obama isn't an American and even after releasing his long term birth certificate, you still don't believe it. Well try this on for size. It doesn't matter where he was born. His mother was a US Citizen and citizens, say those in the military serving overseas, give birth to children out of this country all the time and they are still considered US Citizens. McCain is the candidate that was born out of this country while his dad was serving in the service, McCain was born in Panama. That's why he got the initiative to remove Obama off the AZ ballot because it was McCain that was born in a foreign country, not Obama.

The issue isn't whether or not he's met the legal requirements for releasing his tax returns. The issue is why he won't release more years of his returns, when it's standard practice among presidential candidates. A quote from his own father, about candidates releasing their tax returns, when asked for his 1040 by a reporter from Look magazine, " Release of the document, while it might serve a political purpose, would not prove very much, he argued. One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul" He then went on to release 12 years of his tax returns.

I think this is the issue for people. Mitt has released 2 years of returns, and the last one he didn't even claim all his charitable deductions, to keep his tax rate over 14%. People want to know about his offshore accounts and investments, to see what kind of tax dodges he's using. And I for one don't want a president who uses loopholes to get out of paying his fair share of taxes.

funny how you call a legal process a "loophole" for someone who makes more money than you, but a "deduction" for someone in your situation...The "people" dont seem to be too concerned with this issue since Romney continues to rise in the polls even with all of these childish attacks that the left continues to use.

   Yes!! I read aloud your brilliant commentary in the voice of Roseanne Roseannadanna. I laughed so hard that I had to stop and catch my breath.
   Do you remember the inspiration for this character? She was an achorwoman for Channel 7 Eyewitness News in the late 1970s. Her name was Rose Ann Scamardella.

While I can well understand your desire to do that, one of the reasons these scumballs are as strong and persistent as they are is because we only come together every four years. They are out there conspiring every day. As Frank Rich put it so well in his New York Magazine article, they are the "cockroaches" of American politics - every time you think they've been defeated, they come back. We must adopt their persistence because they're not going to stop

Trump does not "own" much. He sells his name. Part of his whole scam is to lead people to believe he is filthy rich.
