Not too long ago, Mitt Romney and his speechwriters thought they'd come up with a clever new way to mock President Obama: they ridicule efforts to "slow the rise of the oceans."
Campaigning in Minnesota today, former President Bill Clinton suggested these jokes appear a lot less funny now.
For those who can't watch clips online, Clinton said:
"I was actually listening closely to what the candidates said in these debates. In the first debate, the triumph of the moderate Mitt Romney. You remember what he did? He ridiculed the President. Ridiculed the President for his efforts to fight global warming in economically beneficial ways. He said 'Oh, you're going to turn back the seas.' In my part of America, we would like it if someone could've done that yesterday.
"All up and down the East Coast, there are mayors, many of them Republicans, who are being told, 'You've got to move these houses back away from the ocean. You've got to lift them up. Climate change is going to raise the water levels on a permanent basis. If you want your town insured, you have to do this.' In the real world, Barack Obama's policies work better."
I have a hunch it'll be a while before this little GOP applause line returns to Romney's stump speech.

I just cannot believe how anyone would be dumb enough to want to go back to the way Bush/Cheney ran the country and drove us into the Grand Canyon in 8 years. I think Obama should get the same amount of time to get us out as we are slowly doing. Romney and Eddie Munster would just set this country back years with the same old failed policy. I understand why Biden would've said that. In military type things, a person having big balls is a respectful, admiring way of saying how brave they were. On the otherhand, people are too easily offended by things they do not understand. Quite often they fear the unknown, sort of like Romney. Mitt has no idea how to an upstanding, honest, caring, loving, compassionate human being, so he continually shifts his stances on issues ie Romnesia.

I say we have all of the mitten followers mark their houses with a big red x. That way the responders will know they are for small government and can take care of themselves. The responders can then move on to help the people that want and need help.

It's already starting in Broward County, Florida. One major black precinct was stripped of almost 1500 votes over night. Explanation? It was a computer glitch. Another lost several votes because the worker recording the votes "accidentally transposed the numbers". Needless to say, these were heavily Democratic precincts.
