On Friday Rachel played a bit of Vice President Biden speaking about George McGovern at a memorial service. Below is the full 25-minute eulogy in which the vice president describes McGovern's role in motivating him to public service.
A bit of inspiration on a grim day

I would vote for this man if he ever ran for President. VP Biden reminds me of FDR and Truman. He's a good guy.
Thanks for posting the entire eulogy given by Joe Biden for George McGovern. You know, people laugh and sneer at the ad created by the prodigy director/creator/actor of Girls, but here's the honest truth: George McGovern was the first presidential candidate I ever voted for at just 18 years of age. And I was happy that I did and it was great! Doesn't everyone remember their first vote?
My first vote was for one of my favorite men, Al Gore in 2000. I have always liked him since I heard him speak. He would have made a great president if Bush did not steal the election.
That is a good man. It is and has been an honor and a privilege to have him serving so close to our President.
And thanks to you all for posting the entire elegy.
