This is my four year old daughter, Abigael, after hearing one too many mentions of the election.
Unverified, but awesome.

Aww lol If only Mitt Romney would stop lying and playing dirty politics maybe all this tension would be gone. But nope, republicans are stealing and buying this election so the tension continues and Mittens continues to be a pathological liar. I hope when Obama is reelected, that he will repeal citizens united, punish the churches who thought it was okay to be involve in politics and enforce some law stating that if one party suppress the vote or rigs the vote, that their top ballot candidate is disqualified.
enforce some law stating that if one party suppress the vote or rigs the vote, that their top ballot candidate is disqualified....I feel the same way ..they should just be disquailified thus lose thier vote and for trying to fix it to win
I'm with you, Abby.... let's bake cookies, play at the park, and ride our bikes. Enough already.
I wouldn't say awesome, I would say it's pathetic that a "parent" would expose a child to this depth.
mmm, I think Abby is just a bit over tired and needs a nap...and Bronco and Mitt just popped in her head.... maybe?
I hope she really wasn't crying because of what she said.
No, sorry,
This is like Mommy and Daddy going at it tooth and nail and not thinking or caring what it does to their children.
With all the wanking about keeping weed off the streets and cuss words off the television ... examples ad nauseum ... because of the children only to turn around and cause this much anxiety in a child really shows the concern for the children is lip service.
In this day and age of "enlightenment" to ignore what this fighting does to the youngsters, the potential for head problems and development of dysfunction, is without excuse.
So "Daddies and Mommies", if you're going to carry on like a couple of morons at least do it where your children can't see it.
Because you have no idea what problems you may be creating.
.
I think its awesome we are enabled to absorb the kind of enlightenment you offer for the price of a click .
Of course we may have to recall a whole lotta dictionaries to edit the meaning of pathetic .
Could we* use your opinion as an example ?
*Us
I'm with you. Posting a child's intimate moments to the internet for the world to laugh at is pretty perverse. Poor kid.
So the tragedy of spilled soup and being overtired are now precious , and classical moments meant only for museums and philosophers .
If the tone of the parent , or guardian , (in the vidjoe) didn't confide the warmth and caring between the priciples in the recording , it puzzles me what it then must have offered .
It's not precious or classical, it's private. Something tells me Abby didn't consent to have this video publicly shared.
FRP+4.... wow, smack me up and call me dumb because I haven't a clue as to what you're trying to say....
Listen, if Abby was really crying over harsh words and arguing over the candidates, MOM OWES POOR, LITTLE ABBY AN APOLOGY. .
FRP+4.... wow, smack me up and call me dumb because I haven't a clue as to what you're trying to say....
Yeah, I can't figure out the point of posts 3.3 and 3.5 either.
If FRP has something to say, well, then FRP should come on out and say it.
Don't be afraid ....
.
oh for crying out loud.......get over it people! I am glad she is tired of the politics right before the election...at least she isn't crying over Miley Cyrus or the Kardasians.......good for her parents to be discussing what is important in their and her life.
We that have had children, know she is tired and this is the first thing that popped out of her mouth....
Thanks mom for sharing this precious clip..she is a beautiful child and yes sweetie we all want it to be over.
OK... Poor baby...lol.
I really hope this clip makes the broadcast tonight... Even better? Can we talk Rachel into playing Neil Young songs on the air for an hour? THAT would also be totally awesome...
I suspect we're ALL starting to get a little *slap happy* at this stage of the game...Hang in there, Abigael!!
Most of her conscious life has been full of the election... It's been a tiny fraction of mine, and I'M pretty well burned out! I can't blame her for being tired of it. One more week, and it's all done.
Sort of like rape.
Close your eyes and wait for it to be over praying for it to end soon.
.
Your articulation around as foreign a subject seems quite scholarly , are you an expert ?
Poor kid, but it would've been worse if she got a look at Eddie Munster Ryan.
Thinking the solution could definitely be less TV... or maybe just more Big Bird (think there's a big clue in there, by the way, as to which candidate is really invested in the 100%).
My thoughts exactly. Must live in a swing state.
Maybe she wanted a Big Bird doll but mom and dad could not afford it because of the high royalties paid to the muti-millionaire owners of the Big Bird franchise.
All other aspects of this video aside, I love, love, love "Bronco Bama" coming from someone in Colorado! This child may have a brilliant future in pointing out the obvious to those who will not see, and making connections the rest of us wish we had thought of first!
If this is all it takes to break up poor miss precious darling, I fear for our future. It's not just her. I hear precious darling boys and girls like this all over town, pitching loooooong and unending fits over their unreasonable demands of the world in which they rule as unquestioned dictator.
And hey, when that's your world, why not demand an entire presidential election stop to cater to your whim? I've seen kids demand their parents MAKE it stop raining so they can go to the play park. I've seen a kid keep an entire table of adults sitting at a table in a restaurant because she didn't want to leave yet, even tho the bill had been paid, all dishes taken away, etc. But all eyes were fixed on Miss Precious, because SHE wasn't ready to go yet. So all these perfectly reasonable adults sat there, trying to persuade her, because, well they weren't bigger than her and couldn't just sweep her up in their arms and walk out whenever they decided.
Agency. Adults surrendering their agency to children. I've never been so happy as to have forgotten to have children.
OTOH, I grew up learning to argue in an authoritarian culture that brooked NO argument from seen-and-not-heard children. "You're crying over THAT?! Come over here and I'll give you something to cry about."
Once, in a rare instance, I found myself crying in second grade, something not like me at all, after I stayed out in the corner of the playground through the whole lunch break, watching my friend's house burn to the ground. Then I calmly returned to my class, sat down, and sometime in the middle of class, it just started. The teacher had to send me home.
Years later, I found myself working in news photography, chasing ambulances and tornadoes, unaccountably drawn to disasters and disruptions, until I made myself too hard. Took years working in different fields to be able to feel my feelings again.
Then I found myself working at CNN during the time of 9/11. But I wasn't gonna get all hard again. I found a colleague counseling younger journalists to push down their feelings through all the horrors that we were watching in that constantly repeating loop. Shocked him when I spoke up strongly, told him not to tell them to do that, that that would do more harm than good.
So I guess I'm not bothered, though I was surprised, when my dinner came up Monday night after the worst of the storm passed me by with minimal disruption, as I watched the images come in from those who were not so lucky. And I tried to work from home yesterday, but found myself with a need to take an exhausted nap.
Holding yourself together takes work sometimes. But I think it is more important to feel than not to feel.
Which makes the overwrought, over-dramatized trivial upset of the kid above (and the selfish and demanding adults those precious darlings grow up into) an odd luxury that other feelings-denying adults become all too eager to deny themselves for. Bleck.
You are obviously not a parent. This child is what 4? She is barely out of toddlerhood, children at this age don't have the mental capacity yet to process maturely the world around them. Of course they'll scream and throw fits, its how the parents respond to their behavior is what shapes them in to selfish little bastards or compassionate people. Sure there are kids who aren't being parented properly, but your rant is not only borderline looney-tunes, but also completely unwarranted.
See, the world I grew up in (I hate to say how long ago) NEVER accepted as normal "of course they'll scream and throw fits."
Seriously. Germans. Stoic. Probably abused their children, by today's standards. I don't know any of my peers in grade school or younger who screamed or threw fits. Or had "meltdowns."
Maybe kids are bombarded with HARRP rays to be less emotionally stable. That would be the looney tunes response.
Misbehaving in public was never tolerated. Screaming and throwing fits at home perhaps less so, but at least then you have a room to be sent to for time out.
Four years old? You know there are kids who read at four? My HS friend's kids read even younger, tho I have no idea how.
At age five in my small town, I rode my spider bike to the corner store to pick up bread or milk for my mother.
I do feel for little Abigail, "Bronco Bama" the first cowboy President! lol. But in all seriousness, she's a little young to understand the combatant nature of such a big election, and if she's in a swing state, she's being inundated with constant TV and radio ads. My daughter at 16 is more well informed about the issues in this election than most people, and definitely 99% of Republicans, ha!
omg, will u people lighten up! It's FUNNY! There is no reason to bash the parents and assume they were arguing and turned into an opportunity to exploit their traumatized child, get a life. She was a typical little kid overtired who said something funny, period. If sharing intimate moments of your child for the world to laugh at without their consent is peverse why has America's Funniest Home Videos been on for over 20 years??! lmao, ridiculous.
Toward what end did you include this?
I love RM, but I really dislike seeing children used to support perspectives on topics the children have no hope of understanding. So, again, toward what end was this clip included here? What does its inclusion add to a discussion on who should be our next president?
I apparently don't get it.
Ummm...that maybe we are all a bit tired of the election by now?
You guys need to lighten up... wow.
I would make a note, that in one week it won't be over till its over. Depending on who gets selected, we begin the post election spin and propaganda.. some probably being very nasty.
Sad what this country has come to.
I wish we could have already voted and I am tired of the Rmoney/Ayn Ryan distraction.
We would just be rehashing the settled business. It seems 4 out of 4 Cyclers are showing the electoral college going for the President. There are polls showing popular vote close but still say the President is ahead.
I do not see Ohio going for Rmoney after he said let Detroit go bankrupt and now trying to twist it around with a huge lie. We also know women are not forgetting the opposition to women's rights.
It makes me want to cry, too.
This was _perfect— parenting. This child received excellent attention from her mother in this crying episode. Crying isn't an accidental physiological response. It has an actual psycho-physiological purpose. And receiving loving attention in this way during crying -- and not being reprimanded for crying (for god's sake!) -- is perfect. The point isn't to get our children to stop crying and shut up.
No wonder so many Americans vote for Republicans. They are seriously damaged people.
There is no problem here.
I am sending this to MY daughter who for eighteen years has put up with a screaming-at-the-TV batsh#t crazy MOM...yes, that would be ME!!! LOVE it!
MSM political gossip 24/7. Tell her the adults are very tired of it, too.
I guess the Nor' Easter Bunny came to town!
This is just stupid.. Give your kid a nap!
Little miracles... .... .........
Aww, I feel the same way. Hmmm,I wonder if her parents yell at the TV.
NO CHILD should be crying over an election, even the current one. Come on Mom & Dad, what's going on here?!?
Oh, yeah? The first election that I can remember was 1972. Definitely stuff worth crying about there, and that lasted until Nixon resigned. This kid doesn't know what political suffering really is.
Maybe she was listening too much too "Bonehead Boehner." The leading GOP/RNC "Hoodlum's On The Hill." Little "Richie Rich" Ryan might have tried to steal her Halloween Candy? The GOP/RNC "Outsourcer and Chief" was trying to 'harvest' all her Halloween to China. She might have seen the GOP/RNC "Romulian" flashing his pointy ears and eye brows? Now that would scare anyone America! She might have seen "Crazy Cantor" dancing around in his clown outfit. This GOP/Tea Begger loves too skip around with tea bags hanging off his ears, and his very scary painted face. She will get over it America. We all will very soon my fellow citizens.
At least she's neutral she's tired of both of them. Time to give the little one something fun to do.
I not surprise about Mitt Romney, he a businessman and that basically the way they function, robotic and percise, when things are not going the way they want it to, then its time for a corporate takeover, lying is not uncommon with these individuals how do you thing they made their money anyway? Romney is a salesman and the product is himself, his argurment is that the other guy is broke and won't work as good as he would.
