Second that! The NBC debate coverage wasn't bad, but I really missed getting Dr. Maddow's take on things as they happened. Is NBC worried that if the online community had a choice between theirs and MSNBC's coverage, they might lose out?

Note to management: You can do better than all those dumb Lockup prison programs you usually run. How about airing some of those Ken Burns historic specials or the old Walter Cronkite 21st Century series?

How about scaling that up radically for a special event. Say in a month or so or a pre-inaugural in January- Like some sort of major group hug/ celebration with MSNBC supporters following the end of this race?
How about an MSNBC national block party. Like have an MSNBC host or contributor in all the major cities, and there is kind of a 3 hour long victory party recounting the most ultra weird highlights from the GOP primaries and the general race.
Since it is my idea and since Rachel needs a good vacation, I nominate her to be the host for Honolulu. We can have Tulsi, Mazie and Colleen there, and maybe she can take a try at body surfing at the President's favorite surfing spot. There is a great house down the street where Hawaii Five-Oh shoots and it has a huge beach mostly deserted that would be great for the beach party with view of Diamond head.
Weather in other cities might not allow all events to be outdoors, but with satellite feeds from say 15 cities it would be very cool.

Really, I think everyone knows which way the wind is blowing. Even hate radio has tacitly acknowledged reality by giving up bashing the president. Doyle yesterday was drumming up anti- Union sentiment with stories that non union workers from Alabama are being barred from hurricane Sandy relief work. Not a word about a connection between the President and this pro Union cabal story he was pumping. It was weird but predictable. They are defensively defending their audience share and so need to pull back from tying themselves to the stench Romney's inevitable defeat. Ideologically, they are pre positioning themselves for the after disaster GOP navel gazing.
I presume you are a conservative. I was not suggesting a country wide block party for a particular individual or a political point of view. The election will be a triumph of fact over fiction.
Next time back someone with principled positions, like Huntsman or Ron Paul. Actually, Huntsman had a real chance of beating Obama.
But no.
Hold up the mirror in the next couple months and ask yourself how the GOP can have a future if they continue with these self defeating strategies.

Don't move your eyes from Ohio. Here's Jon Husted's latest. Why isn’t somebody at the top saying look at all this stuff that Secretary of State Husted is doing in Ohio? Husted still has tricks up his sleeve that we haven’t seen yet. Check out this AP story about Husted goofing up the new voter registrations and absentee voting by not supplying updated voter information to the local precincts until one week before the election. Glitch, my eye. One more way to suppress votes in Ohio. Please cover this story. This isn’t Fargo North Dakota. Ohio is ground zero in the battle for control of America.
