Here in PA we have only Tuesday to go to the polls. I've never waited. I've never stood in line here. Maybe this year I will find out how that feels since we now have a T-Party governor in the commonwealth and a brand new bunch of regulations. I have a passport so it's always been easy for me.

There's a very good chance that Gov. Scott's decision to make the lines longer to vote could seriously backfire on the Republicans. How will elderly people be able to stand in line for seven hours? These elderly people leran to the republican candidate. Scott could be shooting himself in the foot here. I hope so!
So, all of these polls of "likely voters" become skewed significantly if the likely voters just are not physically able to stand, or sit, in a seven hour line. I know there's a lot of wishful thinking within this post/reply.

Dave, That is a very good Point, Irregardless of Party NO one know's who any of these Citizen's are Voting for, No one. And I would think that it would PO alot of Voter's having to Deal with the BS and they KNOW who is creating the Problem.

Washington state votes entirely by mail. My only "line" is standing line with my husband to get a stamp (which of course didn't happen). Why don't all the states do it that way?

But there's drop off boxes all over the city, county and state in OR. The court house is open to the public until 9 P.M. here. 5 drop off boxes inside.

No postage required if you use the drop off boxes. And they are in 2 envolopes so it's extremely difficult to alter the ballot. Has never happened when they use follow up phone calls. Which they do every election.

Same for Oregon, however, they just caught a temporary election clerk filling in blank boxes with Republican votes. It was a real blow because they thought they had a secure method. Seems they need a bit of tweaking.

This year is the first time I have ever waiting in line to vote. I'd like to see a comparison of those polling places with lines and those without. My guess is that I'm waiting in a line this year because I'm within a major urban population, but I'm not sure. So I'm curious where people are waiting and where they are not. I don't think it has anything to do with brains being handed out.

I just wanted to share that it took my wife and I a total of 15 minutes to early vote in Shawnee, Kansas. I find it interesting that a state that is predominantly republican makes it very easy to early vote, when we are hearing reports that our american citizens are struggling to accomplish their civic duties in other states. Something must be done. Thank you for opening our eyes to this reality.

Hopefully all of these states that cut voting time by either their stupid Governor or secretary of state will have voters with very good memories of these long lines and vote these dirt bags out of their jobs. Or IMPEACH them out of their jobs, they have no morals and are shameless. Obama will win no matter what dirty tricks they throw at true Americans.

All of those that are Veterans made a sacrifice and many of us lost limbs, sight, minds, and will never be the same. Many did not return home and they were our brothers and we never forget them> We fought for our country and what it stands for. That includes the right to vote and to do what the republicans have done to suppress the rights of other Americans is making our sacrifice almost seem meaningless> This is an outrage and for all of us veterans; it doesn't matter what state you live in PLEASE VOTE ON TUESDAY>>That will mean much more than a happy Veterans day greeting next Sunday 11/11/2012. Not to mention, I am up for drinking a whole bottle of champagne if the Koch Brothers and Shel Adelson lose multiple millions (and getting THEIR agenda) on a Romney loss. India , How ya doin?? All is good here, Though Yesterday my Sis-in law was verbally harrassed when she early voted in IL. I guess on the way to Vote, She stopped at 7-11 and bought a cup of coffee, The Cup had a picture of Pres. Obama on it. When in line, another Voter (a guy) gave her a bunch of Crap,Needless to say she got the last word in and he shut his Mouth, Just ridiculous. Regardless of the Cup, Neither I, nor you, or the dumba$$ know's who she Voted for.

Great work Gov. Scott. Your efforts to reduce voting time and opportunities in Florida are paying big dividends. The lines go on for hours and people are frustrated and uncertain about whether their ballots will even count.
That is a fantastic result. Your goal of reducing the credibility of, and access to, the voting process is succeeding.
Florida has a voting system and process that now very much resembles that in a third world country. Nothing at all was learned in 2000, was it. Nothing except a chaotic mess of an election allows all sorts of people to challenge the results and create havoc, hopefully leading to the result that the Gov. of Florida and the republican party wants!!!
Well done Gov. The eyes of the country are on Florida again and it's a screwed up, unreliable mess, again, just like it was 12 YEARS AGO. Nothing has changed.

As a former Florida resident (as a kid) I was just curious about what I've been hearing about voting in your state. I'm sure you have a reasonable rationale for cutting early voting, especially in the face of Florida citizens waiting 4 to 8 hours to vote. Since I have to believe you have a very good reason for not making voting easy I just wanted to know your reason so that I can explain it to my friends and relatives, thus being able to stand up for you. I have to believe that this affects both Republican and Democrat voters so it could even harm your own party's elections. I want to take the high road so I am assuming that you are not trying to suppress votes. So I would greatly appreciate hearing the official and/or logical reasoning for limiting voting in your state. I am emailing from Seattle, Washington but as an American, I care about all states and all Americans. I look forward to your reply.
