Super PACs do not throw money away just for laughs. It is obvious they expect something in return,like less regulation, tax breaks, ending minimum wage, preventing penalties for outsourcing, getting away with slave camps in the Marinas and China and so forth.
If you believe in America and all it once stood for then you best sign petitions to end Citizens United and then vote against any of those who seem to be the biggest benefactors of these super pacs. Granted fighting fire with fire sounds good but not when the wind is blowing the wrong way!

It's easy to bring charges, but most courts require evidence to make the charges stick.

And, is there any way to reverse this trend? Over 2 billion (yes with a b) spent this election cycle!! Think how much good that kind of money could do for the people in this country who are homeless, hungry, can't afford college, etc etc etc. Not to mention all the devastation on the East Coast right now!!!

Did you say the same in 2008 when the Obama campaign (without any SuperPACs) spent $750 Million (thre quarters of a Billion)? Unfortunately both sides spend way too much and if you think about it almost all of it is for the undecideds which is a small percentage of the actual electorate. I mean most staunch Democrats and Republicans will not change their vote because of all the money spent on ads.

Had not hear about them before the call. I'm in Philadelphia, volunteering in SEIU's get out the vote effort for Obama-Biden and the democratic ticket here. In the past few days I've gotten half a dozen robocalls for Romney-Ryan. So annoying since I've been answering my phone consistently due to coordinating for Occupy Sandy Relief/NJ, Neptune Twp!
I'm still waiting for Romney to do the one thing he CAN do to help victims of Sandy... write a big check from his personal accounts. ** crickets **

It's interesting that el Presidente 0bama has relatives in the US living in public housing and on the dole -- meaning at the expense of the taxpayers. I don't believe Romney is requiring taxpayers to provide housing or financial assistance to any of his relatives.

I completely support their right not to have an abortion. That's a legitimate choice, and they're entitled to act in accordance with their religious beliefs. What they're not entitled to do is make me act in accordance with their religious beliefs. No doubt these anti-abortion women are doing all they can to promote access to birth control and sex education so that women don't get pregnant in the first place unless they want to. What? They're opposed to that too? Well, they must surely oppose the death penalty, since life is sacred and all that. No? They approve state killings of human beings, the kind that walk and talk? Quite a religion they've got there. I hope they continue to be free to live according to their own beliefs and are stopped at every turn from imposing those beliefs on others.

Sooooooooooo, let's say that a candidate for president was an uncharged felon...Taxes...and he gets elected.

With the high profile that Romney has at this point, I would imagine the IRS - which has access to ALL his returns - would have already began proceedings against him if there were fraud.
He most likely too every legal loophole there was to keep his taxes at a minimum, but isn't that what everyone does - take all the deductions and credits allowed by law?
Nope. Not Mitt! He doesn't take all his deductions so it looks like he pays more taxes. Well, temporarily, anyway. That amended return gets filed right after he loses the election.
Loopholes are merely provisions of the tax code you don't like while deductions and credits are provisions you like. If you believe the tax code is badly constructed, tell your congressmen. Or vote to replace them with congressmen promising to enact a tax code more to your liking.
It might also be worthwhile to replace the US legislators and cabinet members who don't comply with the tax code they implemented.
