Tonight's guests:
- Andrea Mitchell, NBC's chief foreign affairs correspondent and host of MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports"
- Richard Engel, NBC's Chief Foreign Correspondent
- Debo Adegbile, Acting President and Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.
And here's executive producer Bill Wolff with a survey of the night's bounty and week-ending accompaniment:

Thanks for your work this week Rachel. What a ride.
Also, recovered from the planned entertainment for the Romney Victory was this selection:
"Plutocrats of the Carribean", a variation on this song.
I can't help it. One of my boys was running around all week in his Halloween costume yelling "Avast" every chance he got. It was fitting accompaniment to the stories on the Romney campaign.
Rachel...
Thank you for your "We are not..." rant. It was beautiful... didn't want it to end.
If I could do it I would have bought a full page in NYT just for that. It just needed to be seen and read in it's entirety, so each person could read it slowly, savoring the sentences and remembering the thoughts we had about the particular time, subject, person or place of each sentence... Of course every person, at least every liberal/ Democratic person, could add their own sentence/s to it.
Me? I only wish that during President Obama's acceptance speech, in front of that massive roaring crowd, there had been a split screen available, showing Ann and Mitt Romney watching that speech. That would have been payback for all the rotten, lying campaigning we had to watch and listen to from that pair.
Anyway, thanks for adding to the good memories of the event.
I wish I had a transcript from the first half hour of Rachel's Wednesday, November 7th show to keep forever and always. Pure poetry!
So, Rachel, would this be an opportune moment to start a "Let Barack Obama Grow Out His Hair a Little" campaign? My favorite photos are the ones his photographer friend took of him in college. Besides, this haircut seems 'way too conservative, don't you think?
Maybe he should shave his head.
Great idea. And wear a dashiki. Watch RWNJ heads explode!
RM, Andrea Mitchell, very cooool. Heartbreaker and global news story chaser. Ask her, true or not? With Mitt gone....where? Visiting his investments? Which brings us back to Andrea.....Is she in negotiations to host a new reality show...about the 1%....tentatively called "Tax Havens Of The Rich And Famous"? Or, an up-close look at the next generation of influence peddlers...called "The K Street Kids"? Let us know about her new adventures. Great coverage.
Yes, because he is my president, I will continue to discuss issues that remain important to me.
Landslide? In terms of the popular vote, I don't think that qualifies. The guy elected always thinks that they have a mandate. Things move back and forth, because the reality is, we are more of a centrist nation and ultimately resent extremes on either side.
I will agree with you on that!!!
Hi
President Fox of Mexico once described Canada and Mexico as two flees on the back of a big dog. So that makes me a microbe on the back of the Northern flee.
I am neither Democrat or Republican. I really don't like politics much. However as a northern observer I can tell you if the Republican Party down there keeps up governing for a small percentage of the American population they may very well find themselves in the position as the Liberal Party in Canada. Once it held a large majority position and formed the Government. They ticked of the Canadian People and were sent into obscurity. Many years later they have still not recovered. After the election they could not even elect enough members it gain official party status.
Every revolution in history has had the same cause the little guy just refuses to go along. Once the little guy gets fed up it all comes apart. He will not go down that road anymore and dam the consequences. In France they cut off all the rich and power-full heads. In Russia, the federation fell apart. In Poland they threw over the Communist Government. In Cuba they turned to Communism to get out from under Batista. And in England it created the United States of America and so on.
When the little guy gets fed up things change regardless of what the rich and power-full want.
Extremism does not work either to the left or right only balanced GOOD government can survive in the long term.
I have spent most of my life in management and once was ask which side I was on Management or Labor my answer was this if you look at a coin it has two sides if one is missing you have nothing no coin at all.
Although he was a dit of a ditz Henry Ford understod unions ate not nessarly bad if you do good bisness you will suceed.
I would love to have a copy of the "Walking Upright Citizens Brigade" graphic that appears on last night's show. Would you be willing to share it, via the blog or your FB page?
