Go Amy!! She's my senator along with Al Franken.
I will swap you even up, sight unseen, your two senators for our two senators. You are right. Don't swap.
Petraeus betrayed us.
More like fell on the sword....
Men.
See below.
Word has it that Obama is livid with Holder for not giving him the information about Petraus that holder had been sitting on for quite some time, allowing Obama to be taken by surprise when the story broke.
And rusty has all this inside info. BS
Rusty, you need to get your info from a reliable source
Rusty must be watching that lying channel, Faux news.
Well, the truth will out in the end, is the old saying. It's pretty much splashed all over all news sources, well, except msnbc. So, if Larry and a few of his buddies haven't seen what's on the morning shows, it must not be true. Lol.
India- you may want to read the NY Times. You may be interested that Sen Feinstein is upset with being in the dark as well. As opposed to waiting with baited breath for Rachel and minions to bottle feed you the news after they decide what and when you need to know things, and what spin to put on it.
I named my dog after that song.
You named your dog, "men"?
It occurred to me that maybe the answer to the crisis of masculinity in this country is staring at us every day. We need to nominate the most interesting lesbian in the world to be our President. All the preposterous sayings about the uber masculine poser shilling for Dos Equis beer are doubly true about her.
Yes, I think it is time for RM to stop playing around with edutainment and help the country confront some its most perplexing political challenges.
Epic.
RM for NY senator.
She'd get my vote. She's smart, knowledgeable, articulate, sensitive, perky, and just about perfect for the job! Great idea. I think she's pretty, too.
Disclosure: I'm not a lesbian, but don't care at all that she is.
I would be if she were straight but she isn't so I'm not. I don't know why- it's one of those things you pick up pretty quickly if you spend any time living in the bay area. Some emotional protection or ineligibility hormone goes off- like the one for sisters and brothers.
Ok, here are some more qualities:
John Messerly,
OK, Why don't you like her? LOL
She would be a wonderful Senator. I'm ashamed I didn't think of it!
Come on LeCarre, I set up this ball and I thought for sure you would spike it.
Connect dots. .
.
COME ON RM. Think about it.
How ready was Elizabeth?
Do it. This is your moment. Golden Golden opportunity.
Don't think about modesty. Think about duty. Rachel, you have to do this. Lots and lots of people will help you learn the ropes. It's like with Obama. He noticed that people liked to help him. You have that. People will drop what they are doing and help you.
Please. Please Please think about this. Everyone else we need to tweet this up. We need to start up the #TRMSCampaign (The Rachel Maddow for Senate) Campaign to let Deval Patrick know who we need in the Senate. If someone comes up with a better hashtag please go for it.
John Messerly, #4.4,
I did not know what state Maddow lived in! Since she works in NY, I figured she probably lived there. I've only recently discovered her blog.
I e-mailed her and told her to run, but I erroneously said NY! My bad. My apologies to future Senator Rachel Maddow.
I never was any good at playing ball. I always had my nose in a book.
Maybe we can entice Mass. and Rachel by saying it's time for the so called "liberal" state of Massachusetts to get on board with California. We've had 2 women Senators for HOW long?
I just thought it could stoke the competitiveness fire. Say, like a football or baseball game. Patriots vs. 49ers or Red Sox vs. Giants.
Hi Sandy, I am glad that bill passed in WA that you were interested in.
What do you think of a Senator Maddow? I like it! As soon as Messerly said it, I thought: YES! It is perfect. She is such an appealing person, and so intelligent.
Definitely, my coded message above is meant to entice Rachel and Mass. voters with rival sports team analogies.
I think she could beat Scott Brown. She's got what it takes and she said her truck was bigger than his, too.
:)
Ok, how about #SenatorMaddow as a hashtag. That way, microbloggers can add the tag every time they need to refer to RM.
Also, it is easy to create custom bumper stickers people can order online. It occurred to me that the Obama O logo could be shifted to a rainbow motif. Say a sticker with such a logo, then "Pass the torch to #SenatorMaddow"
I'm not big on Twitter, but I do have it. I'm a bit befuddled with tweeting every hour, but I am all for it for the younger folks!
I am amazed at how the Green Revolt/Arab Spring used this method of communicating in real time. Awesome.
I just think generationally, it's not for me… but a great way to get the word out to youth!
Kal Penn used it very well, I'd say. Turned out the youth vote.
Go#SenatorMaddow! I can retweet stuff, but I hardly use it, truth be told.
I too do not often use it... plus there seems to be a mechanism that broadcasts you more vigorously if you have a lot of followers. And I never went to the trouble of using techniques to pump up my followers list.
Chris Boese has a big followers list. Maybe she can be talked into participating in this caper.
Then Rachel and MHP can run for Pres. and Veep in 2016 or 2020?
I still have MHP pic holding that bumper sticker somewhere.
I'll see your "Lola", and raise you this:

Another question that needs to be answerd is why did the FBI friend of Kelley tell Representative Reichert about the investigation of the affair? The FBI's policy is that information regarding on-going investigations is not to be shared, even with Congress of the White House.
Your suspicions seem correct. It well may actionable. It is likely chargeable. He may well be more than an ex-FBI agent. Representative Reichert is likely protected.
Hey Rachel..if you want to know the extent of racism in this election..one of our liberal friends is getting these comments on his page. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=486847028027180&set=a.484779304900619.114506.484775798234303&type=1&theater
Oops, Congress or the White House
How come that none of the various 007 characters, James Bond, have never been charged with treason? Maybe, just maybe, sex and treason are two different things. I see no more reason to accuse Petraeus of treason than James Bond. This is right wing claptrap. Bond was certainly implied to have engaged in things sexual. Yes, I know he was, as a character, unmarried.
Some years back a former U. S. senator was a closeted gay with a gay wife as cover. He was on the senate oversight committee overseeing the secret services. About 18 months before his term was up he suddenly resigned his committee assignment. I always thought he was being blackmailed. He did not run for another senate term. I suspect I will not learn if my suspicions were true. If we all get old enough I will try to ask him. I will have to wait until he is old enough to not care if he is outed. Sometimes older gays reach that point. This generation seems to reach that point earlier. That seems a good sign.
I haven't really bragged much on Rachel. I read her book and enjoyed every word. She really appears to have the point well covered. That she is well educated shows. Sadly, she seems too busy to keep up with progressive reading.
She needs to jump on the latest progressive bandwagon. That means learning the newly explicated field of "scientific equality". She needs to read (or have a staffer review) Wilkinson & Pritchette's "The Spirit Level" subtitled "Evidence Based Politics". I also recommend Richard Layard"s "Happiness". Rachel is smart enough to figure out whether they are solid academadicians. I say new but Layard is 2005. I'm just now catching on.
We are slowly starting to prove not only what we had long suspected but we include much of what the left had intuited. The right has already caught this. That is one of the reasons for their goofy anti-science campaign. They seem to know that science is going to demonstrate that everything they stand for is just wrong.
The same line of thinking explains the oil companies. They are not stupid. They know global warming is true. They hire Inhofe to tell people that global warming is a hoax. Don't listen to them. They lie. Rather watch them. They are suddenly drilling like crazy. They know that whatever that is in the ground when the general public wakes up will have to stay there. I think the north east is starting to wake up. If I have this wrong, remind me at some time in the future and I will apologize.
#11, You don't have this wrong at all. Excellent post, Raymond.
Iran is celebrating, the Muslim countries in the Middle-East are
celebrating, and actually America's enemies all over the world are celebrating.
They love a weak U.S. president. They loved Carter also. They now love Obama.
They laugh at him. America’s enemies will use the next 4 years to punk America
like they did at Benghazi because they know Obama is a Punk! Remember also that
Obama told Russian President Medvedev to tell Chairman Putin he would have more
‘flexibility’ after the election. Obama is a traitor to the country that
elected him twice to the highest office in the land because of the hatred for
this country he was taught by his parents and mentors.

This why the Democrats fought so hard against Voter ID laws!
