Here in the Republican heartland, we are already feeling the effects of the election. I wish you were able to read the letters to the editor in the Terre Haute, IN Tribune Star about employers punishing workers for the re-election of President Obama. It is disgusting. The Conservatives here apparently didn't see the results of the past election and are blaming Obamacare for plant closings, lay offs, reduction in hrs, etc. Give me some info so I can fight back on these stupid letters.
Jeez, I always thought Ron Paul would go out with a bang! Instead it's a whine.....
Welcome to Bizzaro world, where Ron Paul goes serious stream-of-consciousness and John Bolton is a lonely, sane voice in the republican party.
Hey Ron Paul
The Constitution didn't fail. You did. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal forcefully rejected Mitt Romney’s claim that he lost because of President Barack Obama’s “gifts” to minorities and young voters.Asked about the failed GOP nominee’s reported comments on a conference call with donors earlier Wednesday, the incoming chairman of the Republican Governors Association became visibly agitated.
“No, I think that’s absolutely wrong,” he said at a press conference that opened the RGA’s post-election meeting here. “Two points on that: One, we have got to stop dividing the American voters. We need to go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent. We need to go after every single vote.“And, secondly, we need to continue to show how our policies help every voter out there achieve the American Dream, which is to be in the middle class, which is to be able to give their children an opportunity to be able to get a great education. … So, I absolutely reject that notion, that description. I think that’s absolutely wrong.”He reiterated the points for emphasis.“I don’t think that represents where we are as a party and where we’re going as a party,” he said. “That has got to be one of the most fundamental takeaways from this election: If we’re going to continue to be a competitive party and win elections on the national stage and continue to fight for our conservative principles, we need two messages to get out loudly and clearly: One, we are fighting for 100 percent of the votes, and secondly, our policies benefit every American who wants to pursue the American dream. Period. No exceptions.”
Hope this help you tonight
Rachel........when MR (even avoid his name) talks about the "stuff" President Obama gave away to get elected, counter with what MR was proposing to give away to his millionaire buddies. He was going to give the whole country away to the plutocrats in exchange for the office.......which is all he wanted anyway. MR is simply put, not presidential material and I am so thankful the American people had enough sense to recognize that fact.
I was just reading a friends status on FB and he said he went to an event put on by the Indiana University Labor Studies department where they talked about this past election. He mentioned two startling facts about the Indiana results. First, John Gregg who was running to be our next Gov. would have won had he obtained only 14 votes more per precinct. And President Obama only needed 49 more votes per precinct to turn Indiana back to Big Blue!
Ron Paul's statement "WHINE, WHINE, WHINE". Good riddance to Ron Paul, a coward who wanted to control people as much as any theocrat but was too much of a coward to admit it, hiding behind the skirts of "states rights".
Dan Rather called a landslide for Romney. Now he is speaking another language. Rachel dump this old white man. Dan Rather days as a newsworthy reporter are over. I am trying to understand why MSNBC keep having him on as a commentator. I hate his opinions.
Gladys, Dan Rather has spent his entire life bringing news to the American people. Not everyone can predict the future. How about a little respect for someone who has been bringing us important information for a very long time. You can always mute it for the 5 minutes he is on every once in a while.
I agree with you, Gladys. I cringe every time I hear he's going to be on the show. You could tell that he wasn't for Obama and I never understood why Rachel wanted him on her show. He was on "NOW" yesterday or the day before and that made me cringe, too.
Ned, Dan Rather is somebody who has always believed his own press more than anybody else. I can't stand him.
What do Hispanic conservatives represent? Related to how Mexico, run by the same handful of families since before the revolution, it's a mind boggle. Is it adherence to the Pope of Rome and faith?
The reason Bolton would defend Hilary Clinton is expained in thie excellent piece by investigative journalist Bob Parry:
http://consortiumnews.com/2012/11/14/the-neocons-waterloo/
With the fall of Petraeus, Parry argues that Clinton is one of the last remaining "hard-liners" in terms of the policy on Afghanistan.
Rachel and TRMS received a shout out in an Email I received from Dr. Ami Bera in regards to the CA7 race, that is still not settled. He discussed the fact that Lungren was leading the orientation class in which Dr. Bera decided to show up at, even though all of the ballots will not be counted until Tomm. Mr. Lungren has refused to concede. Dr. Bera sent out a fund raising letter that asks for funds ONLY to combat an election challenge, and not for his future election fund raising. Someone on this site, or in the news, I forget which, had mentioned that Dr. Bera was actively fundraising, like it was for another election. This is not true. Keep telling the truth Rachel...........
