John McCain served his country well, even as a POW. The PTSD is just now catching up. A case can be made thet the whole GOP has PTSD after this last election cycle. keep'em ranting until 2014. We need a Dem Newt to shore up a House take-over.

Off topic but since MSNBC won't mention it... A House Republican appeared to open the door Thursday to raising tax rates on top earners, stepping away from the long-held party line on the eve of high-stakes talks over the so-called "fiscal cliff."
At the same time, a group of Senate Democrats pressed a new set of fiscal cliff demands that would include significantly more taxes to pay for more stimulus as
part of any budget deal.
Instead of working to resolve the 'Fiscal Cliff' issue, Democrats are piling on. If talks fail to resolve the issue Democrats will of course blame Republicans for political points and liberals here will do the same!
Of course it wont be mentioned...the goal is to demonize at all costs regardless of the facts...if you cant win on issues...then you strive to make everyone embarrassed and scared to vote for the opponent...this is an Obama rule. The rich already provide most of the revenue...problem is, the dems want to spend more, dont want to ask their base for revenue, so they ask the evil rich guy for more....39 percent? seriously....so If I make a million dollars....390,000 goes to these clowns on capital hill? LMAO. 39 percent is only part of it....then they have state and local taxes,....the dems are doing more to rob from charities than they are anything else. Their goal is to have a nation mostly of takers...then give the takers enough to keep them at bay and dependent, then when the election comes along, convince them that unless they vote dem, they will lose it all. Hence, unemployment up, more on food stamps, young adults up to 26 still dependent on their parents for insurance. There are so many people living on foodstamps, having more kids to get gov funds, on state healthcare, relentlessly trying to collect disability...I mean why work...take the tax free benefits and retire...so many sitting on couches waiting for the next handout...Its the pathetic Maddcows of the world that encourage it....

Someone's been drinking the red coolaid. It's time for trickle-up economics. Empower the middle class and we have a healthy consumer base. American products get bought, more taxes can be raised from successful American companies, and American manufacturing thrives. It might be time for some tough tariffs on products imported from the Pacific Rim to encourage Americans to buy products, (and services!) made in the USA. It infuriates me when I call my bank's customer service line and get a foreign associate I can't understand.
This might just be me, but I went out and got my first work permit when I was 15. I worked all my life paying into Social Security. Today at the age of 48, I receive Social Security Disability, Medicare and Medical. Pardon my brain cancer. I can do, and would love a customer service job with benefits so I can get off the dole. It's cheaper to outsource those jobs to India.
It's a whole artificially created world. The folks are probably sitting in their stocking feet and you would never know.

Completely clueless....anything about the Benghazi fiasco bother you as an American? If you only watch maddow, then Lord knows you dont get anything from her show, she has avoided the subject since it happened. If it was a repub president, then it would be a solid hour of it....am i right?
How did Pelosi know that Russert wouldnt ask another leader the same question....because shes a woman, she cant be asked first. If he would have asked McConnel first could he then avoid the question and say that he should ask nancy first. One of the most immature responses ive heard from her... and thats saying a lot.

I think if the democrat are really serious about gaining control of the house, Mrs Pelosi should find a way to step down. She has done a great job in the past years but it is time to move on. She will always play a very valuable role in the party.
The house may not be have a democrat speaker if we keep things the way it is now. It is time to put party and national interest over self interest. We need to start building leaders with progressive new ideas to continue what President Obama is doing. After the next 4 years we should have a leader in the democratic party who is less than 50 years.
