Please tell me that the good citizens of Ohio will throw out Husted at the next opportunity.
Could the Obama election team use its ground-game machine in Ohio to help retire this guy from politics?
Where do these people come from. HELL? From what opening are they talking? do they need toilet paper to wipe their face with? Please show these people the door out of this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems to me that of all the people in all the world the one "race" that would understand genocide is wrong ,it would be the Jews. Yet ever since they were handed Palestine after WWII they have systematically set about taking more and more from the Palestinians and now they have them boxed in. The Israeli government has always sought the extermination of Palestinians. I am sick and tired of our government backing them and our media painting them as the victim!
Sorry I had to vent a little. The real problem is I have lived to long. Man is a dispicable creature.
Paul- Israelis not committing genocide. It is horrible that Hamas uses as a terror base the very densely populated areas in the Gaza strip. This reality does not give them Carte Blanche to terrorize a civilian population. There is no joy in Israel when a Palestinian civilian is killed during an operation targetting Hamas. Today Hamas nd their supporters celebrated the bus bombing in Tel Aviv.
Rockets were being fired on Israel long before the blockade. You also have confused British Mandate Palestine with an actual sovereign Arab Palestinian state. To this day none existed. The Palestinian Arab identity is a modern one. We were not handed back our homeland after WWII. The legal agreements are from well before. Historically there has always been a Jewish presence in Israel regardless of how often our land was captured by various invaders. The difference between you and I is that I have no need to deny any Arab history in Isael or Judeah and Samaria.
Your comment that the Israel government has always sought the extermination of the Palestinians shows anyone reading this that your statements have no legitimacy.
Sorry but I disagree with your assessment. I sure hope we stay out of it and refuse to deal with either side until they grow up.
Time and again the Israeli government has found excuses to attack. They gave civilians housing in occupied zones solely using them as bait. I do not see how you could argue that they have not been trying to get rid of the Palestinians from day one if you truly know the history of the former State of Palestine. But then I am used to hearing from defenders of the Israelites and the propaganda our politicians have spoon fed them.
I also know that the American government will continue to give Israel weapons and money, so it is all moot.
"The Right’s right is so freakish, so grotesque, so ignorant that now, by simply admitting certain incontrovertible realities, a standard issue conservative may apply for and receive that most cherished DC membership – a pass to Club Mod. So it is in the day of Sarah Palin and teabaggery that admiring the roundness of the earth is revealing your exceptionalism as a Republican.
"Still, the beltway types trip over themselves to call conservatives like Graham moderates. Beltway types like to be lied to. And, closet cases (reactionaries, that is) like Graham like to lie to them. It makes everybody feel better. Especially when those lies come in the form of Graham’s signature whimpering earnestness."

I know it's hard to show all the nuance needed when talking about Israel and Hamas held Gaza. I think you did a better job this time on the show with the short time alotted. I was here in Israel when Sadat came so I know the difference between real peace and the attempts at peace that have come after. Sadat was killed because of it. Sadat and Begin were leaders who did what was best for their people.
Yesterday there was a red alert and a rocket that hit as I was about to leave home for work. Today a rocket fell in my area. Then I turned on to see the bus that was bombed in Tel Aviv. Hamas is a terrorist organization. It is not the same as dealing with a government of another country. People need to understand the difference.
Actually, I like the idea of splitting the states' electoral votes by congressional district. If gerrymandering could somehow be eliminated (probably not), it takes away the "winner takes all" campaigns we see in swing states today. Each congressional district throughout the U.S. would be just as important as the next. Not this ridiculous campaign news from a handful of states for 12 months.
Okay, I really like Rachel's show. It is actually my morning "newspaper" ritual. However, her piece on the NY Times really bugged me.
Admittedly, yes, some of the same reporting on marginal tax rates in the NYT piece was the same as the reporting in the ABC piece from 2009. But, there is one really big difference from 2009 to today that was not noted. The expiration of Bush's tax cut that is still a distinct possibility would hit income above $212,000. In other words, Steve Wynn's accountant wasn't actually smoking rolled up copies of the American Spectator, he was just planning on the same intransigence and incompetence that we have all seen from the 112th Congress.
Maybe I am nit-picking, but I think that Ms. Maddow was a bit unfairly harsh on the NYT because of the soon to expire tax cuts from 2001.
