i am most thankful that Mitt has a lot of free time for the next 4 yrs.
Yes, thank the Lady for Rachel...
...and chocolate, and kittens, and moms, and ham 'n' cheese omelets, and...
I'm thankful for TRMS, MaddowBlog, and #Maddow. For keeping me informed, for pushing back against the failings of other media outlets, for clearly explaining important but often overlooked facts, and for introducing me to a lot of very smart and very cool new friends.
I'm thankful that Rachel's parents brought her into the world, and that Keith Olbermann helped get her on air.
Ditto.
Hey CA - Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours !
Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours RACHEL - I Got SO Stuffed that I crashed for the entire evening !
Clint James, #3, I'll second that remark about Rachel. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We sure did.
Please remember to donate to your local food banks. Too many people go hungry in this country today.
Hi Rachel! Your readers should reflect especially on a day like today that in the midst of the Civil War ...
"President Lincoln's ... vision yet extended far enough into posterity to issue an executive order closing government departments, setting apart the last Thursday of November, 1863 in national recognition to a local day of thanksgiving. Henceforth, a day of 'Thanksgiving and Praise' would become permanently etched into American custom and tradition.
"And so a Happy Thanksgiving to ordinary citizens young and old!"

Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone.
I'm Thankful for everything I have, for the people that love me, for the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen still out on the front lines, and manning the Watch, and for the folks who set aside their day to help others in need.
Thanks to everyone on the TRMS Team for keeping it true. Thanks to Rachel for spreading the truth, and keeping it real.
Thanks, Steve. The same to you and yours, and to all readers of Maddow Blog. Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well Rachel and to your staff and crew who all work so hard to keep a light shining on the truth.
And happy thanksgiving as well to all the good folks who spend time on this blog and give of their time and intellect to help me understand the nuance of certain subjects and help me form better (I hope) arguments for what I believe to be right.
Have a safe holiday weekend!
I am thankful to the producers and interns who pour their heart and soul into journalism. What you are doing counts for our republic and for democracy. You may have heard the philosophy on that so many times that its meaning has lost some of its edge, but your largely unrecognised contributions are well appreciated and understood by many in the TRMS audience. On the thanksgiving we raise our glass to you. Thank you for your service.
I'm grateful for my Family, Friends, and my TV friends on MSNBC. Grateful that your shows, i.e Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence Odonnell & Chris Matthews are more concerned about telling the truth than winning ratings. We love your guests including, though not in any particular order:
Karen Finney, Alex Wagner, Krystal Ball, Nina Turner, Chris Hayes, Steve Kornecky, Joy Reid, Eugene Robinson, David Corn, Ezra Klein, Andrea Mitchell, Rosie Perez, Dan Rather, Tamron Hill, Martin Bashir, Howard Finneman, Chuck Todd, Melissa Joan Perry, Nate Silver, Richard Wolff, E J Dijon, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Ari Melber, Anna Marie Cox, Jonathan Capehert, Mark McKinnon, Cecile Richards, Keli Goff, John Nicholls, Terry Oneill, Annette Todao, Leo Gerard, Bill Clinton, Bruce Springsteen, Mother Jones Website, Jimmy Carters Grandson, Dave Matthews, Katy Perry, George Clooney, and most of all President Obama & Michelle Obama. Oh yeah, and a guy named Joe Biden who really turned it around trouncing Lyin' Ryan in the VP debate.
I've never met any of you in person, but you all gave me hope, love & faith that we CAN move FORWARD! Happy Thanksgiving to us all! Carol & Mark Z Hayward, CA
You missed Toure and Mika Brzezenski... If it wasn't for her, 'Morning Joe' would fit better on FOX 'News' Channel than MSNBC... She's the show's token liberal...
Oh, and my personal favourite, David Cay Johnston.... But, then again, I'm biased... For some unknown reason...
Hello Rachel,
Many thanks for a clever and insightful program.
Regarding the Sen. McCain's behavior, I think what most Americans need is an explanation as to why he McCain, others Senators, and even Romney are allowed to opening talk about classified information. It seems like they can't be trusted with classified information. If not, what does that mean going forward? Are we using our military and national good well for untrusted reason? Very troubling. Thankfully, Obama, Clinton, and Rice that can stay on point and allow correct information to be verified.
Respectfully,
E
I'm thankful for The Maddow blog in helping me to find my voice.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Rachel. I never miss your show. Here is a link to a blogger I am sure you would enjoy:

Thank you for the link. I've added it to my Favorites.
Rachel, you are the most articulate, funny and informed person on TV. At 9:00pm everything stops in our apartment to hear your show. Happy Thanksgiving to u and Susan and thanks for making us a whole lot smarter and informed.
I am thankful to you all, the entire crew, for keeping us informed and enlightened, day after day. I can't imagine life without your insight and humor and dedication.
Happy Thanksgiving, Steve. I'm thankful for your wonderful insights and your dedication to all things liberal. I've enjoyed reading you since Carpetbagger days. You're one of the best. I hope you have a great day with your family.
And, as one of my liberal acquaintances said today, "I am also thankful that the term, "President-elect Romney" is nowhere to be found in the news."
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel,
I love you and I am thankful to have you, but the word you used last night (accede) is pronounced ACK-seed, not ass-seed! Like "accident," which you would never pronounce as assident, would you? It's like ACK-sessories, not assessories, which people always misprounce.
But for whatever it's worth, Matt Lauer topped you with his announcement of the song "S'Wonderful" as ESS Wonderful this morning at the Macy parade.
What is the world coming to?
Actually, Rachel's evil twin took enough control of her mouth to convey the meaning that Bibi was planting an Ass Seed on US diplomacy.
Proud primate lit into her yesterday about this. Personally I like the softer pronunciation, and as a person who was professionally involved in linguistics, I believe we should welcome pronuciation and spelling drift if it results in more regular pronuciation and spelling rules like in Spanish or Russian. But it is unlikely we will ever normalize this delightful jumble of a language we use.
i'm thankful that Rachel tells us the TRUTH.
thankful ESPECIALLY that President Obama was RE-ELECTED, and gives us hope for the future.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here.
Glad to see that it was Gobbler and Cobbler who were the turkeys pardoned and not John McCain. That turkey can never be pardoned.
Thanks to MSNBC for straight up providing a platform to push back against the r noise machine. There really does need to be a venue for trustworthy, well informed and passionate voices to be able to push back against the foxaganda and the spinning of alternate realities, (known to some as hallucinations and to others as lies).
Thanks to every single person who voted for Barack Obama.
Thanks.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! take time to refresh and reflect...and read a good book or two :) I've got a Fred Shuttlesworth biography to read and then an action thriller by Darin M. Preston.
I just so happy to have some time to read for once! The elections were just so consuming of my time....but well worth the result :)
take care,
Darbob
This is the time of year for giving thanks
For all the best we feel that we've been given.
For those who fill the Democratic ranks,
Our values guide the direction we are driven.
I'd like to thank our President Obama
For trying hard to help those folks in need.
I'd like to thank the Occupier's drama
For shedding light on Wall Street corporate greed.
I'd like to thank the Democratic party
For giving hope in place of right-wing hate,
I'd like to thank the lib'ral news hosts' arty
Way of sharing news and opinions as of late.
But, most of all, I'd like to thank the nation
For giving me poetic inspiration...
"I am thankful for the Birthers, the Truthers, Donald Trump and John Sununu, the well funded ignorant hating hordes known as the Tea Party, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Grover Norquist, Karl Rove and Willard Mitt. I am thankful the curtain was pulled and we glimpsed the rotting hateful soul behind the lazer light show that is the modern GOP. This collection of groups and figures who came together with one purpose in mind, the failure of America's first black President, and therefore America, during an economic crisis.
I am thankful for what Republicans led us to: those unnamed Floridians who stood for hours in line rather than cave to Governor Scott's attempts at voter suppression, to those in Ohio who refused to let Governor Kasich discourage them from voting, to Americans of every political stripe who went out and
voted, who would not be deterred.
The fear and hate exploited by the GOP did not produce the far right Millennium. It sparked political courage in the electorate. We refused to be pitted against one another, to stand in fear of each other. We rejected conspiracy, unreason and hate. We moved forward, not backward. And against the backdrop of the Tea Party scream, President Obama stood out as he always has, with dignity, intelligence and grace--with his customary soft spoken strength. He will continue to need our work and our help. And we will continue to need one another.
But for now...thank you."
I am thankful that there are positive developments to be thankful for, and not just the lack of negative things.
What a gift you give to your audience - everyone on your staff gives and works with such vigor - at least the scenes i see - from milkweed and caterpillars to wind checks out the windows to cocktail hours with special ingredients - those are just the icing on a cake that is solid and fact-filled - those stories that leap out because they aren't found on any other show - those follow-ups that make sure the story continues to be told - these are the gifts that thread through the week - thank you!
I'm thankful that I only have a month to wait for all my "free stuff" to arrive from President Obama. All of us in the 47% will have a very merry Christmas when our "gifts" arrive. I'll be even happier if I never have to see or hear any of the Romney's ever again. Have a great Thanksgiving Rachel,Steve and everyone here on the Maddow blog.
We're all very thankful for the work you always do in bringing us the truth, media one can rely on, and we are also aware of how close we came to biting the bullet this election.
Several years back my sister kept asking me if I had watch this Rachel Maddow on MSNBC that she suggested watching as she knew I would find that honest news program I had been hunting for. Finally I tuned in and have not missed a broadcast since.
Thanksgiving...another excuse to over eat drink and watch football...Its what makes America great. And all the games are on broadcast over the air (FREE) the way they ALL should be. Go Skins kick some Teaxas ass!
Have a good one USA!
PS Also thanks Rachel for keeping the old format REALLY THANKS!
