Oh, to be a fly on the wall of today's White House lunch.

I read about the capturing of the young mother and her boyfriend who beat and burned their 3 yr old son in Plaistow, NH. While her son was recovering from their abuse, they were found at Disney World in Florida.
Your close -- actually, it was Universal Studios. Either way, they're toast.
I'm reading about the Lame Duck session of the MI legislature's attempt to kill public schools in Michigan. http://www.bloomfield.org/news/item/index.aspx?pageaction=ViewSinglePublic&LinkID=215&ModuleID=167&NEWSPID=1

It would be just like our socialist, Kenyan-born president (/snark) to nominate a republican (Huntsman?) for SoS. There would certainly be some scurrying around trying to find a new conspiracy.
The Ohio fetal heartbeat diehards are just playing true to form. Religious fanatics and martyrdom go hand in hand, at least in the Abrahamic religions. Maintaining one's faith (zealous obstinancy if you don't share the theology) in the face of adversity is one of the ways they prove (especially to themselves) that they're righteous and pure of thought. When sufficiently pumped up in this way, it's easy to ignore what forcing a woman to bear (and raise?) a child against he will really means.
I'm reading this story about this year's "juiced" Hall of Fame ballot:
http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Baseball-Hall-of-Fame-ballot-a-minefield-4075550.php?t=ee546e864e
And I noticed that nobody even noticed that the President of the Baseball Writers of America is a woman now. How cool is that?
Am I the only one who finds this Romney lunch completely freaking annoying? What is the point really? After all the blatant lies and disrespect what could he possibly have to say to him. This is one of the many reasons why people thinks he's weak. Ugh
No, val, I find it annoying too and a complete waste of time! SURELY, there are other pressing matters for the Prez to focus on.
Despite that Mitt presented NO ideas during the campaign, still 47% (chuckle) of the people in the country voted for him. And most voters of both parties expressed a desire for bipartisanship. The Pres repeatedly reminds us all that he is Pres of all, not 53%. He would be remiss to not be open to hearing any ideas from Mitt that might be useful. (While I doubt the man ever had any, his supporters believe he did - yeah, I know, contrary to all evidence.)
Obama also met with McCain after the 2008 election for the same reason.
Ahhh , Romney having lunch today with the president has so much gaff potential. If Mitt's served the simple fare that Obama prefers, will poor "Thurston" mistake those french fries and burger for Kenyan cuisine?
Channel-surfing on an elliptical at the Y, I thought I heard Rachel say that her mother told her to not wear that blazer on the air. Yes?
Y'all know I'm into costuming and visuals. That ivory blazer with satin edging on the lapels is very attractive, looks great on our she-ro. And I'm sure it fit within the $11 thrift store price range.
Is Paul Broun's continued to harassment of NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco -http://science.house.gov/press-release/noaa-still-hiding-senior-leadership-travel-details - aimed at cutting the legs out from under her effort to launch a National Climate Service - see /news.sciencemag.org/scienceinsider/2011/06/house-science-panel-spars-with.html ? That we must ask this question illustrates why Broun must be removed from the Science Space and Technology Committee immediately and Congress in 2014! Check out DarwinForCongress fb page for more on efforts to shed light on Congressman Broun's incompetent representation of Georgia's 10th District.
