Epic FAIL for Ezra tonight - it's not a sailboat, it's a bull elephant. :)
No kidding.... A so called fiscal "wonk" listens to a Obama surrogate talk about raising the eligibility age, then blames it on the Republicans (while acknowledging the fact that the Obama Admin. will go for it). For what? This beltway common wisdom without any push-back is getting quite old. Oh, and I can't imagine some dude that traded in his Washington Street cred to make the lateral move to CITI would want to force more money in to, say, investment funds by scaring the crap out of working people by doing the old switcharoo with medicare and social security. You have to be kidding me, something that doesn't add to the debt, that is more popular with Rep. than Dems., wouldn't make a good mallet to slap the prostitutes on the right in congress with. If yall are just going to invite water carriers from the banks down the street to come on to back up sellout BlueDog McCaskill's non-mathematical "math" (after dropping the bombshell that signature strikes are "still by-in-large made by the military".) Either way a majority of them are still a war crime, but hey, we commit those almost daily at this point right?
TRMS is respected for its frank, factual commentary. If the staff is just going to mail it in for the rest of the month, fine, show prison, or someone reading the news, just don't subject us to more of this garbage with a postscript that contradicts everything that the echo-chamber guests just said (without challenge). Or better yet, put Jenk back on, or Sam Seder, hell I'd even listen to Randi's fainting couch of a show that Ezra's "wonkfest" in which he reads the equivalent of a children's book full of oversimplifications and equivocations after warning the viewer that they are probably too stupid to understand the "real" math. Give me a break... Yawn.
Ezra's just a young kid. He's totally enamored with power, and he wants everyone to like him so he has "access." Just the kind of person Republicans know how to use.
Ezra is very intellegient, he may just need to slow down in his explanations of math problems. I am terrible at Math, but I love the numerology aspect of it. We need to know a little bit about Math, so we can copy the dimensions of the Palaces erected for God, there's a whole chapter dedicated to house plans. I'd like to see the finished project. I think it's called numbers.
What posimosh said.
I don't know. Bull elephant? Those tusks make it look more like a mastodon, and it seems to be amidst some foliage.
Yes, saw it - hmmm - let's see ... [channeling Bill Wolf here] ... brilliant! An extinct relative of an elephant!
!
Dear Rock Diva, Reality is for people who can'l handle DRUGS!!!!!
Hatch's speech was a gross parody of the right wing talking points, and a perfect example of why people automatically discount anything the buffoon contingent says, even if they accidentally say something meaningful. Sort of like the boy who cried wolf.
Practically every paragraph in his talk contained misinformation and fantasy. Just go read it and wonder why these snippy, nasty little people are so prevalent in our society.
I have noticed a disturbing undercurrent here. All your articles tend to be arguments for democracy. This is a revolutionary idea that scares the heck out of right wingers brought up to believe that we are a republic and our elected officials are born to lead us!
Is this liberal use of examples of freedom and liberty versus dictatorial rule and theocratic constraints an attempt to thwart the deliberate fear mongering that FOX and company have been using to get their sheep to surrender their freedom for false security? Are you trying to coax the right into leaving their shelter and grow up?
Just wondering.
They rely too much on their cellphones to get their information, sometimes you have to actually live it to learn, everybody is different and everybody has their own opinion, even if it is on the internet, doesn't make it true. Do not believe everything you read or hear. My keyboard is weird, it keeps putting the j in front of words.
Republicans have not made clear how they would raise the additional tax revenue without imposing new burdens on the middle class. This is not rocket science... I am sure that there are loopholes that will not hurt the majority of the people. Even the rich are sending a message that they are willing to do their part so that we will not go over the fiscal cliff.
Incorrect, and your ignorance belies the source of your info. Increasing taxes for those who have done the best in the USA is ONE STEP, one among many which include cutting spending, in ways he's actually detailed, unlike the disloyal opposition.
Except he's kept his promises to date, when it's been possible with an obstructionist House. So, yeah, try again.
If entitlement reform is so damn important w/GOP why not remove house/congressional retirement stipends. Would that not be entitlement reform?
good point. There so many other means of reducing the deficit without hurting many americans. Shouldn't we listen to AARP? They are the ones that have the voice for our seniors in this country.
There are 50 million people that are in poverty in this Country, and I believed it doubled during the Recession. The policies during the Bush Adm. did not work. We can not let this happen again. The stimulus package will bost the economy which will bring in revenue to reduce the deficit.
Marko Rubio is talking about appealing to the middle class... this is a good thing... will this change his policies to help the middle class? just wondering
It's
not the guns that are the problem; it's the power behind it. There are so many
responsible people in this country that respect not only the gun and what it
can do but also respecting people. John Annoni has a great program that is
training people to respect the power and giving them responsibility and respect
for the gun and what it can do. A lot of people don't respect another life.
They are not remorseful for a human life.
Imagine a world without guns.
