Another Senate Republican signals a cave on the Bush tax cuts.
The final congressional race is now settled as an establishment Republican beats a Tea Party Republican.

Navy SEAL killed rescuing an American hostage in Afghanistan.
Fmr. FL Gov. Charlie Crist is now a Democrat.

Mitt Romney's latest outing: the Pacquiao-Marquez fight.

We do not give a RATS ASS what ROMNEY is doing. He is no big thang. Tell us about our President and stop making ROMNEY think he is all that.
we are the 47%
How sweet, Mitt goes to see Pacquiao win, and a Latino delivers the knock out punch, Mitt could say, "I feel your pain, Many! :-)
No One Cares about what Mitt is doing. Why does the internet keep publishing pictures of him? Stop It!

Dear TP Congresspersons:
You were removed from your comittee assignments not because you are idiots, but because now John Boehner knows that we know you are idiots.
Thanks for playing,
Sincerely
America.
Right on! Now get on with it.
they were removed because Boehner realizes the tea party doesn't have the clout he thought and are now a hindrance. beside these guys sound like entitled A-holes.
Boehner told the dumpees, "It's not you, it's me".

The
filibusterTarantino goes to court!Reading about the US Ships/Armada in the Mediterranean Sea, the NATO missile build-up in Turkey, the increasing talk about WMD and Pentagon threats to Syria. In short, I'm reading about how America and NATO is gearing up/positioning itself for a new war in the middle east, ostensibly for humanitarian reasons, but most likely to bolster the economy and divert the people's attention from looming problems at home in America and In Europe. If you can't agree with the Republicans on anything else, they are always game for Warmongering.
I had thought that the main reason they are talking about the red line with Iran is because they have all those troops and ships sitting around just waiting for Iran to do something stupid, or even SAY something stupid. Afghanistan would be a forgotten war in ten minutes if the Pentagon wanted to fight with Iran.
Only problem is, would it bolster the economy any better than the last two wars did? They didn't get the economy going because we just don't have the manufacturing base going to build much of anything. Caterpillar could quit making tractors and make tanks. But it certainly wouldn't help our economy. Everybody throughout history has said that a war will make the economy grow fast. The last two wars have proven that it doesn't always work that way.
I am not a Mitt fan but really the press should leave him alone. He lost we get it. He is a private citizen now. Let him live his life, and enjoy his family. He isn't doing anything newsworthy. He is simply moving forward. Time for the media to move forward too.
Reading about the 1.1 million on food stamps here in AZ, 50% of whom are kids. The question posed was - is the poverty level too low in AZ or is the program too generous. Really? Wake up AZ - too many of our people are struggling and need help - real jobs, education for the kids, etc.
Do we really have to look at them again? They love their violence. Poor kids.
I would really like to know when obstructionism rises to the level of treason. The republicans have been blocking what would have been real economic growth in this country for four years now. They have prevented the People's will from being carried out. We have voted for President Obama AND his plan TWICE now (Sorry for yelling). Why has Democracy in this country become so hard?
And the problem is: They know they are doing it and they don't care. I think they are almost to the point of being treasonous. the MIC makes too much money, its like an addiction.
The tickets were probbly a "Gift" from one of his top 1% tax "Freeloader" buddies.
Are we going to have week with God next week? I can't miss 2 weeks of not going to church. I'll have to go to confession, again.
Oh, and can I have a dog?
Did anyone read this piece on:
Rep. Blackburn: Republicans ‘are the party of big ideas’
By: David Edwards
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) on Sunday insisted that Republicans opposed raising taxes on the wealthy and supported cutting earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare because they were “the party of big ideas.”
Raw Story (http://s.tt/1wn0A)
Any wonder why we have a dis-functional Congress, when we elect these kind of imbeciles?
A very humanitarian way of giving back once you have lost ~ WOWSIE. You think he would be working in a soup line, after all it is the giving season.
I am wondering why Boehner dumped the Reps that were on committees and opposed the Ryan plan. Is it because the far right are forcing this matter? Ryans plan will hurt most Americans that are in dire straits. If there are loopholes... fix them, but not on poor and middle class expense.
It figures that Mitt's idea of fun is to watch two men fighting like game cocks or pit bulls. Once a bully, always a bully.
This, in my opinion, is one of the most important stories of the 2012 elections that the media continues to ignore. Without accurate reporting, the press is failing to fulfill their obligation to inform the public. False equivalencies do us all a disservice.

This is a very long list of Progressive organizations in the US--would be nice if even a third banded together to promote and fund "truth in politics" tv adds--especially in Tea Party districts. (as a much neeeded "public service")
#20 Ifoster: Excellent article -- I've wondered if anyone else was seeing what I (and we) saw.
Oh, and the reporter used the word "fabulists"! Fabulous!
First: I don't care what M R & Co. are doing so STOP putting his picture on T V and in the papers, he lost (thank God) so enough already!!!
Second: What is all of this crap talk about "Entitlements" the government didn't call it "Entitlement Tax" when they took it out of my every paycheck for the last 50+ years! I paid that money into my..."MY" Social Security account so that I could have a little (very little) stipend every month to help keep me housed and fed until I die. I still have to work part-time to pay all of my bills and all of my senior friends do as well. So Mr. Boehner and the rest of you like minded, Republicans, (who, by the way, will retire with nice pensions and health care packages supplied by me and my fellow citizens) why don't you come and walk a mile in my shoes and FYI I'm considered "well off" compared to seniors who are homeless or ill.
I am glad to see that Nelson Mandela is feeling better. He is an extraordinary man that has devoted his life for human rights. He has overcome horrific things but yet still has a positive attitude. He is a man of great integrity and kindness. 'Wishing him well'
The media just can not pass up a chance to picture Romney watching two Latinos beat each other up. Brings to mind Roman emperors watching gladiators fight to the death for their entertainment.
i think that SSI should be off the table. That is their money that they have given to the Gov for their retirement. Also the age limit on benefits should not be in play. This will cost the Gov more money in the long run. Just my thoughts.
