I am reading about how Walmart will stop providing health coverage for part time employees because of Obamacare. And then I turn on FOX and they are all over it... and ecstatic about it. Doosey says, "It's starting!" with that silly grin.
I don't see any reason at all to shop there anymore. There are plenty of other stores to purchase the things I need.
I'd be willing to bet that most WalMart employees cannot afford the WalMart health care plan that is offered to them. Their take home pay would be next to nothing if they had to pay for WalMart's health care plan premiums.
In Miami-Dade the ballot was ten sides (five pages) long. There was a 851,645 person turnout in Miami-Dade. So... early voting notwithstanding, they had to scan 8,516,450 sides... in one night? That's over 39 hours of non-stop scanning alone. Add to that the reasonable time for each ballot to be issued, marked, and returned. Add to that the time for each person to have voter ID validated.
Florida Election Law:
FS 101.56075 Voting methods (4) "By December 31, 2013, all voting systems utilized by voters during a state election shall permit placement on the ballot of the full text of a constitutional amendment or revision containing stricken or underlined text."

What was on the FL ballot this time was the legislator-written summary of the amendment. In Miami-Dade, it was in three languages (English, Spanish and Creole). Not separate, translated ballots - all three languages on the same ballot!

Angry old white men who thought only they and their friends would spend the time and thought blacks, Hispanics and the young would give up and go home. Voter suppression is a sick side of prejudice. The fools didn't understand minorities and the young love their country and honor their rights too.
If Democrats don't want to face the same in 2016 they won't take the 2014 election off like they did in 2010.

I think it's a mistake to reduce the opposition the way you are doing, Ron. It makes a lot more sense to me to get specific, and find out a person's NAME. I'm not asking a general question here. I want to know NAMES so people can take action against them. As Rachel might say, this is a knowable, quantifiable thing.
Ron, Angry old white men don't usually live in those places that have lines at the polls. In my North East Ohio Podunkville paper the angry old white guys were posting comments on how those in say, East Cleveland, who were unwilling to stand in line for hours were "lazy". Yep.

The Fla Supreme Court requested a remedy to that problem and the Republican solution was... wait for it... to put the FULL TEXT of the amendment on the ballot. So now, s. 101.161, F.S.
So as of Dec 31, 2013, they can just put the full text of an amendment on the ballot. Won't that be great?

What went wrong? First of all we had to endure the debates, which turned into a divine Comedy. Then we were in some kind of a time warp machine brought on by the right. They need to literally burn the old transcripts of what Conservative means. They say they are Publicans, then they ought know what that entails, it is a tax collection agency that the right want to have control over. They work for the rich(Hellenists). It is a modern day bribe fest. We definately have to start educating people in certain regions of our Country. Think outside the Republican platform, and then burn it and start all over, minus the donations from would be blackmailers.
I am reading about how the Gov of PA is trying to privatize the Lottery. So it's not only in Michigan. The rebups are starting out slow here to see what they can get away with then on to other departments. I think light needs to be shed on this story.
