One year ago this Saturday, the war in Iraq ended. Officially. In Iraq, there was a ceremonial lowering of the U.S. armed forces flag and that was it. War over. This Saturday, one year later, the great city of Chicago will welcome back the men and women who fought in that war. If you're in the area, go check it out! The parade starts at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 15th on Columbus Drive. Click here for more information. And click here to send us your pictures from the parade.

Welcome home!!!
I wish I could attend. But I'm there in spirit. Welcome back!
First off: Welcome home troops. I think it's great Chicago is doing this.
Unrelated, but please don't mark as spam because no one in the media is talking about this and they should be!
(Regarding Michigan protests)
At 5:35 Fox's video proves that Crowder touched the union member first. And Crowder punching the union guy (or possible Judo throw because he trains MMA and IDK if a punch would be able to put the man on the ground. (Video stills in comments.)

Welcome home Semper Fi my fellow Marines Thank You !!!!!!
Bravo and kudos to Chicago for honoring and welcoming home our Iraq War Veteran Heroes!! Born and raised in that glorious city -- I am a proud native Chicagoan in the truest sense of the word. Until moving last year to New Mexico, I lived 58 of my years in this city -- working, playing and raising my daughter. I miss Chicago's spirit, deep ethnic roots and cultural diversity . And I am truly sad that I am unable to attend Saturday's celebration. However, I will be there in spirit. And my 21 yr old daughter, who manages a local health food store on the far northside, will participate, along with her store, in the celebration.
My deepest gratitude and to our Heroes !!!
I've been spreading the word for the last month and rain or no rain, I will be there!
Welcome Home!!!
