Your should do your home work, you spew hatred! Gaby, Your Lefties right away started blaming the Righties! Best go change your dighties! But you won't tell the truth, So while you think you're caring about people, actually you're exploiting a lot of righteous people who have payed the highest price. It's disgraceful, never let a crisis go to waste! You must have respect for yourself before you respect others.
Instill fear even propagate it! This is factual not the fiction you ranted about tonight.
Listen first hand from the people who actually live not play pretend, if you have an ounce of courage?
**STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER**
Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!
"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
- Darrell Scott
Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech. Please send this out to everyone.

A Good Friend of mine did this home work!
Doctors vs. Gun Owners
Doctors
(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician are 17.14%.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services.
Now think about this:
Guns
(A) The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000.
(Yes, that's 80 million)
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owners is .00187%. (Notice where the decimal point is)
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, Doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, Guns don't kill people, Doctors do.
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, But almost everyone has at least one doctor. This means you are over 9000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor than a gun owner!!!
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on Lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!
Really you should check snopes before you share your Email chain letter nonsense. Oh and nice try at hiding gun violence by only giving out the number of accidental gun deaths because as you well know guns kill more people then doctors. Really cherry picking is so lame.

Hi.Thanks. I'm a lifelong democrat and I agree with u and your academic buddy. Here's something I'm beginning to get into that I think is interestinghttp://www.law.harvard.edu/students/orgs/jlpp/Vol30_No2_KatesMauseronline.pdf.
My daughter, wife of a Special Agent for the FBI, wrote the following ("Little" is their Giant Schnauzer"):
So...those who know me know that I am pretty liberal (not a big fan of guns) and we have one in our house, required by law for D's job. The proposal for teachers to have guns in their classrooms strikes me as insane, mostly because in order to safely carry a gun, one must ALSO know how to maintain physical control of it at all times (while also doing one's job). This isn't simply a question of motor ability to point a weapon and shoot it, it's also the emotional wherewithal to get it out, aim it at someone in front of a bunch of kids, shoot it, AND maintain control of it (knowing enough defensive maneuvers to prevent it from getting into someone else's hands). In fact, if someone came into *my* house, and D's gun was in the locked safe and he wasn't nearby (this is a pretty unlikely scenario at the get-go because he has it on him all the time), I WOULD NOT GO GET THAT GUN because I cannot ensure that it will remain in my control at all times.
I have a DOG for that purpose. Little would take a bullet and keep on protecting. He is hypoallergenic and adores children and he is smart, smart, smart - he knows who should be in the room and who shouldn't. Therefore, here is my solution: dogs for every classroom! :) Ha.
A death Star out of recycled guns...Now there's some Irony for ya
Well Ronnie Reagan wanted death machines in the sky to shoot down enemy missiles, he even spent 1 trillion tax dollars on it, without 1 republican whining about wasting tax dollars. And who can forget Bush 41's fake numbers of scuds shot down in the Gulf war, later it was reported it wasn't US anti missile missiles that shot down Saddam's scuds, it was just the scuds were junk which is why the USSR never used them in the 1950's they just sold them to dictators like Saddam.
Gun buy back sounds great but, those
guns are going to go and cause destruction somewhere. The great
capitalistic manufacturing machine will not stop making guns and a
couple years down the road we'll be buying tons of guns again, unless
we change our attitudes towards each other.
Our prevailing attitude towards each
other for too many years now is all about destroying the other person
and having as much sex as possible and that attitude is reinforced
and propagated by all types of media, sports and business with
unbridled determination. Nothing wrong with sex. Nothing wrong with
wanting to be at the top of your game. Everything wrong with the
methods we are taught for achieving those goals. Constructive ways
of dealing with our challenges are given lip service while
destructive ways are given respect. And, of course, Greed drives it
all.
Until we can stop looking at our own
little worlds and start caring about the bigger picture, that we all
really need each other and we all need to work together, then
horrible, terrible incidents like Newtown, CT, Littleton, CO and all
the rest will continue.

Have a national movement for people to voluntarily turn in there guns in exchange for being able to place a name on a National Childrens Medical Facility for children suffering from gun shot wounds or other traumatic injuries. We will build the hospital almost entirely out of the melted metal from all of the guns. It will feature the names of innocent people who have died at the hands of gun violence.
Hi all, sorry for the pleading...trying to spread the word about a local fund raising campaign for the Sandy Hook, Newtown Community. A group of alumni volunteers have joined with local organizations to collect and distribute moneys. If you can't contribute at least help spread the word, Thanks Scott
