Oh, Bill. . .she's humoring you! That's so cute!
(Seriously, I love these things. Best old things in the world.)
Hi Rachel, Just to let you know it is (Chantilly) pronounced 'Shon Tee Eee', emphasis first syllable!
I was one of the people that got the illicit inaugural ball tickets on Sunday!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw the email-- I am SO EXCITED. We are the 47%!! It would be so unfair to take them away from my daughter and I. However, once I saw your report about the resale value..... well.... hell yeah! We're going anyway!!
In re the trombone-cam bit: So. . . . I now get to see what my spit valve used to see for all those years in middle school and high school band. (Indeed, I shelled out a few bucks for a pawn-shop trombone a few years back, and occasionally get the instrument out to see if I still can make something resembling music out of it. ) I imagine in a few years clever IT people will figure out how to make the cameras small enough to be secured to a drumstick or a percussion mallet. That will be the Next Big Thing. Maybe we'll get to see something like Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" or Nielsen's Fourth Symphony through the Drumstick Cam.
