The political controversy surrounding the terrorist attack on Americans in Benghazi has obviously run its course. There was an independent investigation; several top State Department officials lost their jobs; and all of the questions have been answered. There was a tragic and deadly incident, but Republican accusations about a "cover-up" were unfounded.
And yet, some people are having trouble moving on.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Tuesday released a statement on President Barack Obama's nomination of John Brennan to serve as the next director of the Central Intelligence Agency, arguing that the administration's counterterrorism adviser should not be confirmed "until our questions are answered" on the September attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans.
"I have not forgotten about the Benghazi debacle and still have many questions about what transpired before, during and after the attack on our consulate," Graham said in a statement. "In that regard, I do not believe we should confirm anyone as Director of the CIA until our questions are answered -- like who changed Ambassador Susan Rice's talking points and deleted the references to Al-Qaeda?"
Good lord, the "changed talking points" argument again? Does Graham not realize this was resolved over a month ago?
The Republican senator added, "This ever-changing story should be resolved."
And therein lies the point: it has been resolved and the story isn't changing. Graham can keep pounding on the table, and he can even delay a Senate confirmation vote on the next CIA director, but unless the senator can come up with new questions about Benghazi that haven't already been answered, his tantrums are hard to take seriously.

Nothing like whipping a dead hosre. But then what else would one expect from an idiot republican.
He's been watching Faux Nooze and still thinks its in the headlines. They mention it at least once an hour.
No, Marty, Benghazi is not a dead horse. It is part of the Karl Rove wedge and win strategy in 2014. Fox News keeps Benghazi alive everyday because there are 2014 voters out there who will vote Republican because of the embassy attack. The strategy may not appeal to enough voters to win by itself, but combined with the anti-birth control, anti-immigrant, anti-gun control, anti-etc. wedges, Rove calculates that Republicans will win in 2014 the way they won in 2010 and won at the state level in 2012.
Notice how the visuals in Fox News' coverage of the embassy in Benghazi is only pictures the building on fire. Burn that image into people's mind over and over again.
Notice how the visuals on Foxs about Obama are also consistently negative.
Mr. Graham...
You are a complete and utter fool. The questions have been answered! The reports are in. HRC is discussing this later this month.
Every single day, Lindsey Graham... blah blah blah, bitch, bitch, bitch...
We know you hate Democrats and the POTUS like a salivating wild animal.
FOX NEWS... Rumphole Mur— — — _'s trash network has nothing better to do than still make this a NEWS ALERT... still. They have been called out on it.
Once again... Mr. Graham, you didn't win your drag queen contest. We know you are bitter. Please get over it. And, please, DO YOUR DAMNED JOB!
@Jimes
Amazing how Rove continues to have importance within Republican circles after he was royally embarrassed with the 2012 election.
That's something I'll never understand about the media: why do they allow people who have been thoroughly discredited to continue appearing on television and continue to have relevancy as speakers as if they've never been discredited?
South Carolina, too small for a Republic and too big for an insane asylum.
Cartoonthenews! The only embarassment that Rove suffered in 2012 was that Obama outmaneuvered him on the Presidency. He did all right in 24 state legislateures that are Republican and there are 30 Republican governors. He would have had the Presidency for Romney if voters had not been willing to wait in line for hours and to stay there after the polls had closed so they could vote.
Rove still has 80% of all media controlled by five of the .1 % and in some states all you see in public places is FoxNews. And on the radio, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity dominate in the afternoon. So Rove didn't beat Obama, but he came closer than the final outcome shows.
The Koch Brothers Coalition still has control in the House and many in the Senate with their $30+ million a year lobbying effort.
No, the Kochs and Rove are doing okay. They are gearing up for 2014.
That's an interesting perspective Jimes. The Democrats picked up seats in the House and in the Senate although not enough to really do anything, but I figured the whole debacle of Rove saying WHAT ABOUT OHIO and then the numbers showing Ohio was lost would embarrass him. You're making it sound like he's a damn cockroach who just won't die- not even after prolonged radiation.
Lindsey Graham is acting like a complete idiot and selfish fool. What he doesn't understand is that he and others like him, are HURTING the Republican party and HELPING the Democrats. I, personally, am sick to death of the Republicans thinking that they won the election and ignoring 51% of the voters who said very clearly that they REJECTED their ideas and policies. Republicans still show everyday that they still do not represent all of the American people, only the wealthiest in this country. They still want their hatred of Obama and Democrats to obstruct every job creating bill and all efforts to keep our economy growing. They are willing to, again, hold the raising of the debt ceiling hostage. Every sane person knows that doing so will destroy our economy, put us in the deepest depression this country has ever seen and that it will destroy other foreign countries economies as well. Republicans seem to forget that they were the ones who voted to put two wars on our credit card with no means of paying for them. They also lowered taxes when every president in our history has RAISED taxes when we are involved in a war to pay the bills incurred by that war. I don't know about you, but when I charge on my credit card, the lender expects me to honor my promise to pay the bill. If I don't, my credit is ruined, I cannot borrow any more money from ANYONE, until I pay the bill, show that I am responsible, and prove that they can trust me again. That takes several years. Yet, the Republicans do not want to pay their credit card bill, they want the middle class, poor, and seniors to pay their bill for them. In 2014, if the continue to defy their employers, the American voters, then they need to be FIRED, including some Democrats who are really Republicans posing as Democrats. I'm sure that any employee who obstructed every decision that their employer made, they would be fired on the spot. Too bad we have to wait two more years to get rid of these foolish idiots.
I think Graham is pressuring to be appointed Secretary of Overcompensation.
Dear Lindsay Graham: Someone in Washington needs to tell you that you are an irrelevant, bat crap crazy, annoying, whining, hateful, self-centered, idiotic, ignorant, and ridiculous anachronism.
Get over yourself.
Everyone else has.
Now all y'all know why I have very little use for my gentle neighbors to the South!
Concealing the truth concerning the deaths of American diplomats and then LYING to the American people because he thinks you are truly that stupid to believe his lies tends to offend sane people. That obviously excludes you.
Graham has become the Senate's John Boehner in that all his actions have one objective: keeping his seat and position. And that is to the exclusion of reality and the good of the country.
2,1 lol, dont hold back India!
Dear Lindsey Graham,
Your constituents must be so proud and just as ignorant and willfully blind as you are. Now stop imitating a 3 year old and go to W-O-R-K for the benefit of the nation!
What truth has been concealed, what evidence is there that truth was concealed, what deception is going on, who is falling for the deception, and what was the lie and who lied? What evidence do you have of any of this scott? Until and unless you can provide evidence that your accusation is true you cannot make the accusation. That's the way it works in America: you are innocent until proven guilty. Provide evidence or admit that you are the one who is lying.

Teapubs are allergic to facts and truth besides having a severe case of Conspiracy Flu for years.
See 2.3 Scott. Scott has all the Rove arguments and lies that tragically many who watch FoxNews believe are valid and true. In his posts below, Scott tells lie after lie, but it just does not matter to him. He knows the truth but he lies anyway.
Let's persue investigations about corrupt repuke congresspeople.
Oh yeah, I forgot, corruption is now legal.
Luz,#3
Yep. The T-Party has now decided to amend the constitution and make corruption legal and advisable! Amendment XXVIII. They are working on it now, I believe, in the GOP caucus. :)
Yes, let's investigate their guilty rear ends. Hmmm. Blatant lies. Treason. Voter suppression. Mr. Gerry... meet Mr. Mander. Threats against the U.S.A. Shall we go on???
All in a day's "work" for these "Americans"...
The Pea Brain Party needs to go first! They hate government. Yet, where are they? GET OUT! The majority of the rest... stop being a bunch of spineless turds. Oh, we're afraid of a primary challenge. Oh, they are scary. Oh, blah blah blah. Bullies!
If they can do nothing but stop bills... always vote no... make threats... WHY ARE THEY THERE? Adios bitches!
Jango, #3.2 "Why are they there?"
I have a copy of the book, The Obama Hate Machine. It is explained in there and in Do Not Ask What Good They Do, by Draper.
Many or most of them cannot be removed, are impervious to national opinion and are gerrymandered in for years. They could only be primaried by another, MORE to the right, whack job. Think about it.
Well....not after 11:00PM. You won't sleep. It is #1 on my list of things not to think about after 11:00PM.
Does the entire country have to suffer through this mans inevitable primary opponent? Can this nut-to-be-named-later even veer right of this windbag?
Another Benen article that should be posted in Graham's district's newspaper's editorial page!!!
LebowskyDude,
No, Hitler is dead. I see no one who could be further to the right of this windbag who thinks the "war of Northern aggression" was won by the South.
On the day that the POTUS lying to the American people blatantly as well as sending others out to mislead the American people when it concerns the death of American diplomats and staff because of the complete incompetence of this administration and is allowed to walk away from it unscathed will be a cold day in Hades. Were this GWB, heads would roll. And to move from one military fiasco to a new one with appointing an Anti-Semite to Sec Def? Liberals are certifiably insane...and it is NOT going to happen.
Yes, were GWB in charge of this kind of incompetence heads would roll...
...well, they'd tilt slightly forward anyway as they received their Medal of Freedom and a kiss on the cheek.
I guess if you don't publicly fellate Netanyahu it makes you an anti-Semite?
What do you call the Evangelicals who only support Israel because they WANT a holy war so the Jesus can come back and turn all the Jews into Christians? Yep, they just LOVE the Jews.
Scott, you have ZERO credibility.
And Chuck Hagel will be confirmed.
scott: thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraquis lost thier lives dues to Bush lies. Obama did not lie about Benghazi, and Hagel is not an anti-Semite. It must suck to be so badly misinformed, in fact it must be willfull...
So...overthrowing a dictator that gassed his own people was a Bush lie? Not to mention that every other intel agency said that iraq had WMD's as well, and (The other)Hussein did not confirm OR deny the existence of them. And since WHEN did giving a whole country a chance of self determination become a bad thing? Liberals just tend to be spineless with a serious lack of morality. And hey...just because Hagel MADE those anti-Israel and anti homosexual statements REALLY don't mean he meant it...right?
Dave Dorris, #4.4 Right on all points. Spot on and well said and indeed Hegel will be confirmed short of a dead girl or a sheep in the bed.
That is exactly how the evangelican Bible thumpers see it. It is not about the Jews.
It is also theologically unsound. It is their own peculiar version of the Truth and Christian scholars disagree with it to a man.
Er Scott - exactly where do you think Saddam got the chemicals to "make the weapons" that gassed his people? Our government! And exactly who do you think has propped up those dictators that were thrown out during the "Arab Spring"? Again, our government!
George W. sold this nation a bill of goods - millions in total have died, been displaced, lost their livelihoods & innocence and you really think Shrub shouldn't be held at the Hague?!
Please tell me, what is it like to live in your world?
scott, this is the US, not Israel. We don't always agree with our allies, and you seem to want to subvert our own interests to please Israel. Hagel is well qualified, and the more republicans try to take him down the more I like him. They will truly eat their own if it means bringing down Obama. It was 4 years ago that McCain wanted Hagel in his (dream) administration, now he has questions? Most of us are sick of the hypocrisy from the right.
This isn't true. The British, German, French, and the UN foreign intelligence and investigative services all believed that Iraq did not have WMD's. Additionally many people spoke out prior to our invasion of Iraq (including many who appeared on Fox News and were derided as traitors and told to "get out of America" by both Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly (amazing, isn't it, how fast these avid Fox News fans forget what actually broadcast on Fox News)) who were investigators or other experts in this particular field and they all stated that Iraq had no WMD's. The idea that there was consensus about WMD's in Iraq is a myth.
The US lost the moral and ethical authority to take out Saddam Hussein after the first Iraq war. In the Gulf War you had justification to take out Hussein because of his attacks on his own people as well as his invasion of Kuwait. After we pushed Saddam back into Iraq and dismantled his army and made him sign a peace agreement we made the decision to let him go. When we made that decision we lost the ability to prosecute him for the crimes against humanity that he committed. The second Iraq War was, in fact, the US committing the act of double-jeopardy prosecution in which we held Saddam Hussein accountable twice for the same act that we had exonerated him of committing years earlier. And we did so without new evidence or without justifying our grounds. That's why the whole WMD bull@!$%# started in the first place. That was the second Bush's attempt at giving a rationale as to why we could then take out Hussein as we failed to do in the first Iraq war. Our actions in Iraq were tentatively, verifiably wrong.
Because Hussein thought it would intimidate the US from invading if we didn't know for sure if he had WMD's (it was a stupid idea, but he did state blatantly that this was his plan). He also thought bringing journalists in and showing the Iraqi people as happy and not wanting to be invaded would prevent invasion. He also thought pleading to the UN and humanitarian communities would prevent invasion. None of his plans worked. You're using selective editing here scott.
....invading a nation and telling a nation that they have to do what YOU want is the complete opposite of self-determination, scott. Iraq had self-determination and then the US went in and took out their current leader and put the then pro-US Saddam into power by rigging the election system Iraq had (yes- Iraq was a democracy before we went in and @!$%#ed it up and then claimed that we made it back into a democracy). We then supplied the guy with weapons for years before he went on his tirade against Kuwait and his own people. At that point we decided we didn't like him anymore and invaded, but decided not to take him out since, as then Senator Dick Cheney put it- to take out Saddam would lead to massive rioting and a counter-insurgency war that would be virtually impossible to win. Cheney was correct as a Senator, but conveniently forgot those positions and principles once he was elected and the President of the US (Bush) decided he wanted to invade anyways.
So liberals are spineless because they don't care about a conspiracy theory (something that didn't happen) and they didn't want to illegally invade a nation that wasn't posing a threat to allies, other nations, or the US, that wasn't violating any international arms laws, and that had been exonerated of wrong doing in a war that had taken place there 10 years before? And liberals are the ones who lack morality by saying that we shouldn't be flip-flopping our position on this issue because real people were going to die as a result?
Scott, you're seriously delusional. The Bush admin was targeting Iraq THE DAY AFTER 911 because GWB had a boner for Saddam. The UN inspectors knew the evidence was bogus. Cheney had to put his own ringers in the Pentagon to get the intelligence he wanted. He lied on national television about evidence he knew was bogus.
Those pictures of Don Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand were just a little inconvenient, no?
Oh, and the Bush administration had been warned about Bin Laden since before day one, and literally didn't give a crap until it hit the fan and Little Georgie had to scramble around the country looking for a hidey-hole.
It will be very very difficult to match the bloody, vicious incompetence of the Bush Administration.
Finally, let's see. Spineless. Dick Cheney got 5 deferrments. GWB got a favor to get into the National Guard and then punked out on his committment, Carl Rove, well, seriously? The only one with any courage or honor was Colin Powell and he's embarrassed by his association with the whole thing.
There were plenty of signs that Bush/Cheney were trying to start a war in Iraq BEFORE 9/11. I predicted in the spring of 2001 that Bush would start a war, and after 9/11 I watched the frenzy begin. There WERE reports that questioned what the administration was saying about WMD's, and it was so frustrating seeing that and watching almost everyone else just accept the lies and start a war (that my son fought in ) we didn't need to. Enough of the neocon warmongers who haven't served but love sending our children (not theirs) into stupid unnecessary wars.
We really should thank little Scotty for showing us what life is like when you have your paperwork in hand proving you did indeed have that prefrontal lobotomy that was required for membership in WackoWorld.
Scott is really one of Boehner's T-party caucus disguised as an illiterate, W. Virginia racist.
Scott, get a better disguise so we don't recognize you.
President Obama has a very short time to address his second-term agenda before all of Washington becomes transfixed on the 2014 mid-term election. That's a little over a year to address jobs, an economic stimulus, responsible gun legislation, immigration reform, climate change, election reform, energy, campaign finance reform, and a number of other domestic issues. And then there's the many foreign policy issues along with the natural and man-made disasters and the unforeseen events that must be dealt with.
Republicans don't want to address any of the above. They will drag their feet on every confirmation hearing, the debt ceiling talks, and every other issue to attempt to ensure that as little as possible is accomplished.
I'm looking at the "Accomplishments" of this failure on the Economy...and I do not think this country can stand much more of this failures "Accomplishments".....And to give this failure a free ride for his track record of failure on the economy would be nothing short of insane.
If you actually understood how dire the economy was when Obama got into office you might be in a better position. And please tell us how continuation of the SAME trickle down economics being pushed by republicans would make the economy better? If republicans hadn't obstructed everything Obama has attempted we would be in a stronger economy, but at least the trajectory is moving in the right direction, despite their bull@!$%#.
If we grow by 3-6% GDP (moderate growth) that will put us on par with almost all years of economic growth in US history. Last year (2012) we were just above 3% in our annual growth. The idea that our economy is slow or lagging is a complete myth that, for whatever @!$%#ing reason, the administration doesn't push back on.
To this point I actually agree with blanks: this is a somewhat psychological issue. Because people are being told that growth has slowed people are operating under the belief that growth is slow and that the economy is fragile and so they aren't spending like they should. Thus this is further inhibiting growth.
We are almost back to where we were under the Bush Administration whose median growth rate was about 4.5% (at his highest rate of growth he achieved 7.5% which is impressive, but it was short lived (only 24 months)). So we have to grow a total of 45% before we're back on par (the highest rate of growth in any one year that the US has ever seen has been about 17.5%- just to give perspective (and that was in the 1950's under a Democrat)).
So are we in the best economic situation that we could possibly be in? No, but we are far from being "broke" or from being "dismal" or any other negative spin the Republicans keep putting on the economy. And, in fact, by putting that negative spin on the economy and constantly hounding the point Republicans are ensuring that growth stagnates even more than what it would if people were told to go out and spend and to stop worrying about the GDP growth of our nation.
As for unemployment: the rate of employment here in the US doesn't seem to have changed that much either. The fact is millions of Americans were losing their jobs annually due to outsourcing during the Bush Administration, but no one cared. Now millions of people are continuing to lose their jobs under this administration and suddenly people have noticed. This is the problem of too much credit being collected at the top and too little spreading of currency (coupled with ridiculous outsourcing). Net job growth under George W. Bush was roughly 2%. Net job growth under Obama has been roughly 0% (since he's cut even to the jobs lost). Even if the economy grows at just a 3% pace until the end of Obama's presidency he'll still beat George Bush in terms of net employment rate and in terms of net GDP growth. The only thing, for me at least, is that I hate the fact that we're not addressing the outsourcing and crediting issue. I'll be fair here and say that, that is a criticism I feel is valid for both Democrats and Republicans, but that's for another conversation.
Somebody is absolutely terrified of his right flank.
The Republican Party has turned into a party of whiners. This is so pathetic. We have real problems to solve in this country and Lindsey is stuck on this nonsense.
It's not like there aren't legitimate things to investigate. I would like to know why the FBI targeted the Occupy movement. I would like to know why when the FBI learned of death threats against Occupy that it didn't report this information to those who were targeted.
Why? Probably because those bums were urinating and defecating where they were camping at, and causing obstruction to people that ACTUALLY worked to earn a living....
I wish I'd have an opportunity to shhit on Wall Street. Give the phony dickweeds a bit of what they deserve for their behavior.
The jealousy of people with college educations and big paychecks duly noted.... . .
Did you go to college, scott?
Put it this way slick.... I'm not jealous of big paychecks....
That's very admirable, scott. I guess. Did you go to college?
DWIA,
I think Scott is actually one of Boehner's T-Party caucus, in disguise as an illiterate, W.Virginia racist.
scott is the poster boy for the republicans. He just doesn't get it at all. We aren't jealous, scott, we are tired of the elite taking all of the increases in GDP growth. We are tired of republicans protecting them at our expense. Republicans only have the failed trickle down policies and we aren't buying it.
India,
And all this time I was laughing because I thought it was Rove finishing the hissy fit he started on Faux.
LOL, Phenner.
Republicans have turned the nation into a laughingstock. I guess the farce was the 28 years from Reagan till the Great Recession. Now we're in the tragedy stage.
The amount of stupidity visited on the country daily by Republicans can not be measured.
Really? The Welfare numbers and food stamp numbers as well as the Continuing unemployment CAN be measured....and it makes your statements appear to come from a crazy person.
Scott, your precious thugs vowed from the start to not do a damn thing to help the economy as long as a Democrat is President. And you know it. And you're probably proud of it.
You're really twisted.
The economic problems like the Great Recession given to us by stupid conservative economic ideas and polices would be over by now if stupid conservatives would get out of the way and let reality-based grownups deal with the problems Republicans caused.
Yes, Republicans have turned the nation into a laughingstock.
Lying does not help this losers track record. When he got in he shoved through his socialized medicine and his "stimulus"...4+ years in to his administration...Manufacturing last month SHRANK to it's lowest levels since this failure took office, and Unemployment is headed BACK to 8%. Get your head out of your backside...American business DESPISES this guy's policies and gas prices have TRIPLED. And WHAT does this unmitigated failure do? add Regulations and new taxes on American business DURING a recession/depression...You can lie to yourself...but the numbers on this failure don't lie. The most miserable failure since Jimmuh Carter.
Hahahahahahaha..., unbelievable.
How old are you, man?
Obviously old enough to evaluate numbers and UNDERSTAND them....and YOU?
C'mon, seriously. How old are you? I think you're either about 10 or really old. Am I right?
It must be easier to avoid the truth when you support this blatant failure.
You don't know your age, do you scott?
See #7.7: The truth about Scott.
Oh, he's definitely Tea Potty. Nobody's mouth can go on a context-less serial reality massacre like in 8.1 and 8.4 without wearing the tri-cornered hat and "Don't Tread on Me" diapers.
He is a typical republican who doesn't know jack @!$%# about economics.
what is socialized medicine and what socialized medicine exists in the US?
That's the opposite of what happened. The ISM index rose to 50.7%- the highest it's been in some time. Growth surpassed expectations, although not by much.
http://www.staffingindustry.com/Research-Publications/Daily-News/ISM-Manufacturing-Index-Rises-in-December-24148
No, actually, we're stagnate so far.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/04/jobs-report-december-unemployment-rate_n_2408637.html
What American businesses? It's amazing how you think you can speak for all of us. My business has seen nothing but growth over the past year and we've seen our costs go down. Other businesses in our area report the same so to whom are you speaking? And what policies do they "despise" and why? And if the only thing that's keeping hiring back is the fact that companies "despise" who is in office then you do realize you've just invalidated any claim that you can make as to the effectiveness in policy, yeah? I mean if they just hate Obama because he's black nothing Obama does will ever satisfy these companies. In which case it's not a policy problem, it's a race problem.
Gas prices are still lower than what they were during their highest point under George Bush. With that said gas prices have lowered for 2013 (not increased).
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/01/07/gas-prices-staying-lower-in-beginning-of.aspx
What new regulations and taxes have been added?
There you go again, trying to confuse him with facts.
You must like hitting a brick wall!
Yeah, but we also can't let someone speak out and not counter the statement. I don't know how to do this best because I also believe that scott is just saying things in order to just say things. For all we know he's a liberal who just is sick of hearing everyone agree with each other all the time on this blog. So there is argument to the idea of just ignoring him and then maybe he will go away. But at the same time if he's sincere then it's important to make him know that he is wrong whether he wants to accept it or not.
Conspiracy theories and stupidity get spread because someone says something stupid/conspiratorial and no one contradicts them. No one questions them, no one fact checks them, no one challenges them, and no one laughs them into silence. Their views are shaped entirely on a false bubble. If you don't pop it, it continues to grow and grow and grow until you have people saying things like the US Constitution allows you to legally kill the very people the US Constitution charges with running your country. Or that you need to arm yourself to prepare for Jesus' return to Earth because, for some reason, he will need your gun to fight for him. Or that fluoride in our drinking water is a mind control device. Or that 9/11 is an inside job. Or that our president was born in Kenya and is a Muslim, but also an atheist. Just at some point someone has got to say "HAHA!" like the kid from The Simpsons and stop the madness.
I admire your stamina cartoon, but who in the hell has the time for all that. Besides you have to know by now, it pretty much does no good on them. The only justification for the time spent doing it is to provide arguments for those dropping by to read the comments.
Whatever your reasons are, you do a good job. (But don't scratch the Hemorrhoid!)
You're probably right in the long run Disgusted. I don't know. I've only been here for what? A month? 2 months? It's seems like sometimes it helps and other times it seems like I'm just repeating the same argument over and over.
Cartoonthenews,
Scott's from W. Virginia, he's a Republican and he's angry with Obama over the EPA. He thinks Obama is killing the coal industry when what Obama is doing (via the EPA) is trying to prevent further mining disasters and trying to keep the air clean, so they don't die of lung problems at an early age, as they often have done.
But forget about trying to break through. Scott's been around a long time, hating Obama. Lots of us have tried talking to him, even being nice to him. I know I used to try.
Not any more. He's been on ignore for a long time. I don't give a da$# what he says.
Now, Cartoon, wait a second. About that fluoride......... :)
The people who believe that nonsense are hardly rational enough to be moved by your ability to reason; by your intelligence and education. They're nuts.
Scott also believes that the president is a Muslim, contrary to all, and I mean all, evidence to the contrary. He is also, BTW, a bigot and a racist and that is why he refers to the President of the US as Hussein.
The Benghazi pot having been incessantly stirred by the Propaganda Ministry (Fox), the viewers now require a neat Hollywood ending with no loose ends, clearly defined villains and a Republican't hero. This is what comes of artfully blending news and fiction. Fiction has rules.
The Fiction being what Hussein tried to lay on the American people...KNOWING he was lying from the moment he opened his pie hole. You just don't mind bending over for this failure. The deaths of these people should cost this liar his job.
Fine Scott, we'll allow you the diplomats in Bengazi as evidence of Obama's incompetence.
You allow us 3000 citizens in New York, over 4000 service members in Iraq, and God knows how many Iraqi civilians as evidence of the Bush/Cheney crapfest.
In all fairness, if the August 6 2011 PDB was presented in the form of a Donald Duck comic book I daresay Georgie would have paid it more heed.
How about the monthly employment numbers or Welfare and food stamp numbers? Can we allow those as evidence of his incompetence as well?
Jesus, scott, do you even know what happens in a SEVERE RECESSION? Inform yourself please.
Why yes Scott, we can hold those things as evidence of the incompetence of the Bush Administration. It's been awfully hard to dig out of the hole they left in the economy.
Dave!
Another one tilting at windmills!
When will they address the issue of Issa's investigation that exposed CIA safe houses which compromised and endangered the LIVING Americans still in Libya?
If... after the deaths of the Diplomat and staff that were left unprotected by this criminal administration, that the agency did not get everybody out of these "Safe" houses...then I lay the blame for THAT at the feet of this incompetent administration as well.
MsSix -- Do you honestly believe there are not hundreds of civil servants feverishly investigating what they can now see -- through the nature of hindsight -- what were ineffective policies in Libya? It is painful and wrenching in the corriders of State right now, and while Whining Sen. Graham may not sit in on all those discussions, those "Dear god, what *should* we have done differently?" conversations are ongoing, even at the old State water fountains and in the cavernous bathrooms. State gives a hell of a lot greater damn about those casualties than any of us or ANY US SENATORS do. I hesitate to speak about CIA, though, given its history.
Just because those deliberations are classified Secret/Noforn doesn't mean they aren't happening. And just because Fixed Noise doesn't have verbatim scripts of those meetings, that doesn't mean career folk in State aren't trying to make Foreign Service safer and more effective. And of course that doesn't mean Cons won't continue to cut State's budget even deeper into the bone.
Cheese. The price of ignorance is political naivete, and Ms.Six has both in spades, along with her fellow Cons.
Go back to the Cons, Ms.Six. Your bleatings don't belong on a Blog with thoughtful people.
That is an ad hominem attack, if you were wondering.
READ the report and then go away. The fact that you are 'trolling' trying to get a foothold is laughable.
I think Audreys point is that Issa exposed highly classified information about CIA activity during his witch hunt against anything involving the current Administration. It's a valid question IMHO.
If I misread and misunderstood MsSix's brief comments, then I sincerely apologize for having done so and for having publicly abused her.
Thanks Lebowsky Dude for apparently being more articulate than me. Ms. Vargas apology accepted. I'm frustrated by this time wasting trumped up scandal too.
I smell a whiff of 'desperation' around Lindsey these days...
Same for much of the GOP in Congress.
The country needs to cut defense spending and gradually increase taxes on the well-to-do, and the GOP is collectively breaking out in hives.
Yo, Lindsey, I have not forgotten about the 911 debacle and still have many questions about what transpired before, during, and after the attack on our homeland. Especially what transpired between August 6 and September 11, 2001. Why weren't you concerned enough about national security then to block some block headed appointments by George W Bush? Inquiring minds want to know.
As crazy as Bush was...Hussein has followed his blueprints on the war on terror to a tee...no?
No, he hasn't. Some areas he has expanded the war on terror and expanded invasive policies or policies that I personally believe are grossly unconstitutional and in other areas he's constricted.
But this has nothing to do with something asking about 9/11. The war on terror and 9/11 are two separate things.
Scott why are you insistent on being a troll here? Honestly can't you go harass people at NPR or something?
So...in other words, just allow you and your fellow trolls continue to lie to yourselves unabated?
go find a dictionary. You clearly do not understand 'blogging' and/or 'trollling'.
Kindness,
Not NPR!! I support it and listen to it all the time. I wake up to it! Such heresy!!!
Shut up Scott. You're the troll. And please stop disrespecting our (yes, yours too) President. News flash: YOU LOST. Get over it.
Wow...Telling the truth about the state of the Hussein economy and the various criminal by this administration(ie; the Diplomats in Libya as well as covering up the death of the border agent with executive privilege) seems to go unnoticed by Liberals...and when you point out the obvious....liberals just go crazy.
Marigold, do what most of us do, hit ignore. Scottie disappears.
Scott, you're either willfully ignorant or a forum troll.
How many private contractors, civilians and soldiers died in these failed wars? You talk about Criminal Acts by the Obama Administration, yet you call a war that has seen the deaths of over 100,000 a gift of "self-determination". Where was your outrage then? How about almost 5,000 American soldiers and an untold number of private contractors? How can you ignore the deaths of thousands and suddenly become indignant and demand "answers" now?
See #.7.7 Re: Scott.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just click the little ! in the lower right hand corner of any troll message, select 'ignore this author', and move on.
This never happened
Why is anyone giving Graham any creedence? He can't even find his way out of the closet with a map, and carefully detailed instructions on how to operate a doorknob.
Believe me, if the MSM stops paying attention, he will go away.
Knobson, Really! Why doesn't the media just ignore him for the irrelevant embarrassment he is?
Graham used to occasionally come up with something sane and contribute to the national discourse. That hasn't happened for a long time now, so I begin to wonder about whether his mind is on the way out. Could he be suffering from some sort of degenerative neurological disease?
Scott, ol' boy, you need to get an MRI. People who can't think deeper than a talking point usually are found to have underdeveloped cranial frontal and prefrontal lobes, and these people have a difficult time with situations requiring advanced thought processes. If you find that your "executive brain" is underdeveloped, you would be best off avoiding situations that require analysis.
Graham is correct in pursuing the Benghazi debacle. How can you not see that the Obama team has subtly constructed a cover up that all you naive fell for and actually pretend to believe. You who believe Obama are merely the ones who voted for him, the ones who got perks and also the ones who will continue to back him for continuation of your freebies! Obama was the winner, but you were the loser's who are causing America's woes! Hillary deserves to answer and quickly, before they have to amputate her tongue next!
Stephen Santangelo
Joseph Common? Such an intellectual statement! Shall we applaud? Duh!
Knobson? Is that your real life pic on your post? Just curious..
The Benghazi travesty to this day still has unanswered questions in my mind! I don't care what all the Liberals say regarding Lindsey kicking a dead horse! It is totally wrong that Obama somehow, manages to sweep everything under the rug before he once again, beats us with the broom!
It just hit me!
Wow! Imagine.. a bad American plotting to down the Government.. then Uncle Fed to the rescue.. send that drone.. get him! Fire now! Good shot.. we only took out 3 homes and killed 14 others.. keep that quiet guys... "Would you reporters please exit the room"!
