If your office space is turning into a bio-dome for germs and flu, (cough, like ours is, gaaaack) Treehugger proposes this solution -- work at home in your own personal Micro Office Systems Space, (MOSS) "garden office." Explains designer Victor Vetterlein:
...the unit is designed at 8'6" wide to go down any road, and can easily be dropped by crane into any backyard or on to any roof. A larger unit can include a toilet, holding tank and kitchenette. It's made with green, sustainable materials and the latest in LED lighting, but also a " wood stove using fuel logs made from compressed kiln dried wood waste."

"Edible desk lamp" ...
Back in the day, all you needed was 40 acres and a mule. Now all you need is 1/4
acre and a T1.
I love progress!
I already got one-my 240 year old grist mill on 15 acres. Been working "at home" as a potter for the past quarter century. "Flu(e)" is where the smokes goes up!
??????
If someone needs to / can work from home, why can't they just - you know - work inside the house. I don't get it.
Why does this MOSS office look to me like it's made of Legos and is Lego-sized?
my first thought was "Bomb shelter"...
I saw the thing sticking out the top and thought, "Submersible?" Now I know it's the chimney for the stove. I like my idea better.
My office is in a double-wide trailer built in the '70's. We have no running water, the roof leaks when it rains, and we have a perennial mouse problem. The MOSS would be a major step up.
(And for anyone who thinks government employees have cushy jobs in nice offices? I work for the state of California.)
gaaaack brack hack hack hack, scuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu (trying to scrape up the post-nasal drip phlegm), SPIT!
So what sort of sound effects should we add for our collection if one has the Cruise Ship Vomiting Bug?
Designer porta ... never mind. The idea of a PC that reboots itself without you knowing it, now there's an idea.
For all those Republicans that want to get rid of Social Security, they'll need a few of these for the mothers-in-law who move in.
Homes of the future, modular and portable... oh wait, we already have those.
