The Bush admin FOUGHT from the BEGINNING and went kicking and screaming, not under oath, in secret, and together... what's up with THAT?

Common Sense means it does NOT show a plane which is why the video remains "classified". And Building 7 which is still never explained how it and other two skycapers fell at free-fall acceleration, while the other 4 buildings of the WTC did NOT collapse despite more damage than the three that DID collapse?

Talk about faux news ... I wonder how Sec Defense Hagel (hopefully) feels about the telephone call about Gulf of Tonkin being two US warships shooting ducks but gave them the war they wanted?

MoveOn isn't the only group doing social pressure tests to see if telling voters their voting record is public, works. the right has been doing it for some time and the left has for years. MoveOn just did a super big one.

I am currently reading "The Price of Inequality: Today's Divided Society Endangers Our Future", by Joseph E. Stiglitz. Therefore, you can now be free from most of my banal song posts and other satirical opinons that help to get me through time.

I'm through the Preface and Acknowledgements, and the first sentence of Chapter One reads as thus,

"The 2007 -- 08 finanacial crisis and the Great Recession cast vast numbers of Americans adrift amid the flotsam and jetsam of an increasingly form of dysfunctional capitalism."

Uh-huh, this should be a good read. I hope you don't not miss me too much. In chapter 6 Mr. Stiglitz gets into using the minimum wage to help bridge the inequality. Yep, this book was meant for me, I can't wait for that chapter, but I will!

On Rapert's comment about the National Day of Prayer, that came from a widely distributed deceptive right wing email. It's likely that most of those folks had seen the email and swallowed it whole, despite it being a complete lie. The email showed a picture of Obama greeting Muslims, ostensibly at the White House, but there's a window in the frame and you can see minarets in the distance. It goes on to claim that he cancelled the National Day of Prayer, which was a complete lie, as Rachel pointed out on tonight's show.

Unfortunately, too many people receive these emails from someone they trust, so they get forwarded along and most folks don't look for any factual backup. It becomes common knowledge on the right - Mitt Romney's debate blunder ("please proceed, Governor") was a direct outgrowth of this type of myth-making.

Wonderful week of coverage again by the Maddow team!! I checked out the "Move On" site. Feels like "We the People" have to organize, contribute and speak up like the big special interest groups or even the overwhelming majority opinion will be ignored. We have to learn from these groups and lobby just like them to get our voices heard. Thank you for keeping us informed (in such an engaging way) and giving us actual facts so we can take action. Political processes don't stay stagnant, those that pay attention and show up will get better results. We have to not give up. We have to participate. Sitting back, being nice, and expecting sound representation has produced a very strange Republican party. It is manifesting horribly in our lives. Grass roots can't just stop with elections.
