President Obama meets with labor leaders and CEOs to talk immigration today.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor makes a "major policy address" today.
Will the GOP filibuster the confirmation of a cabinet member? Maybe.
The Arkansas House votes to ban abortions after 20 weeks.
McClatchy gets the latest on the Benghazi investigation.
Hillary Clinton has a new website.
Today is your last chance to vote a Monopoly token off the game board.

Why does Obama bother talking to CEO's about immigration? He already knows their stance - all that CHEAP labor going to waste because there is that "fence" and people with guns....
Eric Cantor .... deja vu all over again .
Seriously? going to try that again?
Winter 2009 : Remember what a success it was!
"GOP group launches listening tour to rebrand image"
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-05-03-gop-tour_N.htm
It would be pitiful if it wasn't so funny
One of the things that is interesting about Cantor giving this speech is the fact that he even thinks he needs to.
Even if it is only about changing the advertising and not the product it still points to the fact that on at least some level the republicans have had to recognize that they are out of step with most of the country.
There are a whole host of rhetorical blips that have shown up lately ranging from Jindal's "Stop being the stupid party" to the word "Extreamists" popping up here and there talking about people like the "Birthers", and "Skeeters"
In politics rhetoric is as, if not more, important than policy. Consider the fact of the whole Karl Rove "Victory project" thing...even if it's just a threat that doesn't manage anything else it is still a pretty clear shot across the bow of the more fringe elements in the conservative universe, and the message is "Stop making us all look ridiculous"
I am certain that all of the Politicians worried about being challenged from the right will listen to the Liberal call to "move Left". lol. Hussein was handing out goodies to illegals (amnesty) as well as welfare deadbeats, promising Women that the Government WAS in the business of handing out Contraception as WELL as Abortions...that whole "re-branding" crap sounds good... But, unfortunately Republicans are not in the business of buying votes with Government benefits bought with taxpayers dollars while the Country is drowning in debt...so I suppose running on the truth as well as principle will just HAVE to suffice. Besides...with the economy still tanking, and 47 million on the Food stamp rolls...Liberalism REALLY doesn't look all that appealing to begin with.
Scott
Thank you for so clearly illustrating and making my point about why some of the GOP think this might be necessary.
You can carry your own double standards as far as you think they will take you but at the end of the day you are still going to be in a small and shrinking minority of angry people who only make up about 30% of the electorate at most.
Welcome to your ideological extinction. Have a nice trip.
It seems to me that the GOP forced Romney to redifine himself to get the nomination and he couldn't etch-a-scetch himself back to the middle after the primary.
It was pretty clear the guy was a Northeastern liberal....who didn't know that?Republicans did not show and still waiting on a true conservative to run.
Your Homeland is TCB, that's for sure.
O AR, I am so ashamed of you...
That's not my viewpoint - that's the viewpoint of the CEO's whose only concern is money.
My viewpoint is that we should let anyone in who isn't a criminal. Immigration only makes us stronger!
Every time immigration comes up, I laugh at all the stupid posturing by everyone in the debate. Why?
Because 98.5% of you are either illegal alien immigrants or descended from illegal alien immigrants.
You're just arguing over who is not worthy enough to be the next batch of illegal alien immigrants. Guess what? None of you are worthy enough to be here. You're all illegals!
