Rachel, generally I completely agree with the opinions you express. Now, I am in complete discord with you regarding drone strikes! You are exhibiting the demeanor of a shark at a feeding frenzy! I am a very progressive Democrat, 64 years old, with a child in the US Navy, and a family of about 95% current or former members of the Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Army. I would not ever want one of them or any patriotic American to be put in danger when use of a drone is feasible.
When it comes to people who turn traitor to the U.S. and participate in foreign terrorist groups and attacks or plan terrorist attacks against the U.S. . . . I and the majority of the US Population consider these people traitors to the US and terrorists, no longer US citizens, and absolutely deserving targets for drone strikes.

I read about the need to warn an American working together with a terrorist group that they might become a target of killing by drones.
I think this is stupid. First, any American who decides to join an external group and plot, provide expertise or support for attacks to America, has de facto renounced the Citizenship (not a good Citizen at all)...:) so not an American after all.
The need for warning, is already given before hand. If you decided to go out and help people attack your Country you should know that your might become a target. It is just common sense. I am sure they already know that.
The only case where this might be debatable is with respect to internal enemies or revolutionary people, since there might be a good reason to rebel against the Government under certain conditions. On the other hand, when there are good reasons to rebel against the Government, probably the law, safeguards, court orders etc will be of no value. So this is a stupid debate and only serves to make Obama's appointees to become Political Soccer Balls.

What are you saying- that because President Obama says that these people should be killed that we should just take his word for it? I thought your point was that liberals weren't thinking critically.
It seems to me that we are demonstrating our ability to think critically while you in fact are demonstrating the opposite. You should not be so unquestioning of your leaders, my friend- regardless which party he belongs to. That's the big difference between Fox viewers and the rest of the world who understand that no source of information can be exclusively trusted as the sole source of truth.

Great show tonight (as always). I thought Rachel's self-acknowledged stumbling over "exceptionally" was cute. We all have words like that, "anesthetist" for me, and oh my, "verisimilitude" gives me conniptions. Rachel: if you're listening, possibly, "posthumously" has an almost silent "h" and no stress in the middle at that point. Love the way you pronounced it though... twice; felt like that bit on Family Guy with Stewie over-pronouncing the h in Cool Whip.

Pay attention. It is imperative we know, not of particular operations, but what our laws are. There should be no secret laws. If the President has a rationale for covert military action against an individual, there should be independent verification of this rationale by another branch of government. Do you agree with this? If not, why?
