Tonight's guests include:
Sen. Sherrod Brown, (D) Ohio
Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach (ret.), US Air Force Fighter Pilot and author of “Out Of The Blue”
Tonight, we're bringing you the best cure for the Monday blues.
Here's executive producer Bill Wolff with a preview of tonight's show:

I can't wait to see the coverage of the Pope stepping down. A first in 600 years? Talk about news!
Some interesting reading I've done today.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucrezia_Borgia
If you look at the circumstances of past Papal resignations, this appears to be the first time such an event has occurred without a church scandal (Benedict IX and Gregory VI), conflict (Gregory XII), or the Pope being temperamentally unsuited to the job (Celestine V).
There were a few resignations of very early Popes (before 400 AD) of which little is known. Barring those, this appears to be the first Papal resignation related to age -- that is, the first Papal retirement.
The best cure for my blues would be that in his state of the Union Obama announced
John Messerly, though I agree with your sentiment, I think sometimes you are just too serious; and Bill are you serious, I think this a much better tune for a blue Monday
You know, I'm beginning to think I've been hacked, or maybe I'm just a hack (hicked?). Between my mouse pad not functioning greatly on this laptop and error messages about inability to connect...fuhgitaboutit!
You are right about my being over serious, but this week were too full of bullpucky. Only Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple is going to drag me out of this. Good night.
Rachel, dearest,

Click to hear Webster pronounce it.
OK that was sick. But can it wash my dishes? That is all it does ?? just kidding.
Maybe TRMS could actually verify last weekend's snowstorm was really a blizzard instead of catapulting the propaganda?
Heavy snowfall does not constitute a blizzard.
High winds do not constitute a blizzard.
Cold temperatures do not constitute a blizzard.
Blizzards are wind storms where the surface visibility is severely restricted by blowing or falling snow to less than 1/4SM where the sustained wind speed (or frequent gusts) is at least 35 MPH for three hours or more.
FOTHI..._NO— observing station reported blizzard conditions as defined by the National Weather Service.
Last weekend's historic snowstorm was NOT a blizzard b/c it did not meet the criteria for that classification. Next up: DEBUNCTION JUNCTION!
You are right. That storm will come at the end of this month. silly weathermen. I love TRMS Debunction Junction. They ask that we take the time to laugh at ourselves and admit we are all in this together. Now those darn scrapple puzzles are to much like work. Ok I have not solved any yet. my bad.
Rachel- I just flipped through channels and stopped on your show just as you were making a very short statement about Lindsey Graham's threat to put a hold on Obama's cabinet nomination process, and then you said "even though there is no precedent for that- ever." You made no mention about why he is doing this. If I were a loyal MSNBC listener, I suppose I would think Lindsey Graham is a really bad guy, just out to make Obama's life harder. What a mean, vindictive Republican, right? Well, except that I had just been watching Fox News, where they actually explained why Graham is doing this. Leon Panetta testified just a few days ago that Obama was only in contact with him once during the entire Benghazi attack. He testified that after their initial conversation, Obama never called again to check on the situation. Lindsey Graham is threatening to block these nominations until the administration answers questions about what Obama was doing that night. Sounds like a legitimate concern to me. Of course your viewers will never hear this. Come on- I'm pretty sure that if George W. Bush had been president during this attack and was not answering basic questions like these (after his own defense secretary made those statements), you would be spending every one of your shows blaming Bush for the death of those four Americans and you would be calling for his resignation.
It's amazing how your viewers get such a small picture of what's actually going on. And do you assume that your viewers are completely lacking in intellectual curiosity, that they wouldn't wonder or care WHY Graham would do this, if by filibustering these nominees he is risking "becoming famous for doing something that's never been done before," as you put it? The fact that you can't share fairly basic information like that illustrates that your main priority is just to make Republicans look bad (and Obama look good) any chance you get. Amazing!
Yeh I know Fox is trying to be honest. Ever hear of the child that cryed wolf one to many times ? Fox news has some moral rebuilding of its own to do.
Well, THERE'S your problem.
You might ask yourself how what you wrote is material to either nomination. It's not. Lindsey Graham (and the rest of the McCain posse) is just throwing a tantrum
* How about a War on wars ? I know that sounds stupid and it should. But how about a War to end all Wars? Or a war on disease, or drug use, or child education. I believe a war on wars can be just as realistic. And could have a much happier ending then most every other war from man-kinds history. If we people of this planet were to put as much investment into tapping the African subterranean water aquifer and making the Sahara desert go way as our wars, than most all our gulf coast storms would diminish. Also Africa would have more food. Or, do we just have to get the oil and gas out first, for the Good folk of local Africa ? Ok I am probably all wet. But a lot of Africans wish they could complain about being all wet.
* What if Al Qaeda is the middle east version of our KKK ? But instead of differences in race, they use tribal variations, in order to justify their wish to hate and kill? Now will you be surprised when you see the first cosponsored KKK-Al Qaeda jamboree? I wonder who the band will be ?? And the food prep will have to be thought out carefully of course. The Slave-Whiping-Booth is the most popular attraction of the get together. All women must walk two steps behind any and all men. Romney and Trump are the main speakers. You dont see that? How about Chaney and Rove?
Dear Bill and Julia, please pick a tune for tomorrow that was not offered on 8-track. I am thinking 78 rpm. Ever hear of the frozen logger tune ? Real big in these parts. Or the bird is the word? no...ok suprise me.
How about Taxman by the Beatles ? The TeaParty/GOP folk would love it. I have it on 8-track if you need it.....my...bad...
I'm an Air Force Pilot, and not to take at all away from Lt Col Fehrenbach's service, but your account of his Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) should be recanted. He was not an Air Force Pilot, as TRMS has described him on 19 May 2009 and on 11 Feb 2013 (...he was a highly decorated Air Force Fighter Pilot with extensive combat experience...).
In truth he was a Navigator, specifically a Weapons Systems Officer (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/09/dont-ask-dont-tell-repeal-spares-decorated-veteran-air-force-aviator/); an Officer charged with defending an F-15 from an attack, while the Pilot pursued whatever target he/she was tasked with intercepting or destroying. That distinction might be lost on some who only see the individual, flight suit, and "the jet," but for those of us who have earned our Air Force Pilot Wings, our designation as an Air Force Pilot means quite a lot vice someone who wears some other type of wings. With that said, your coverage of a sensitive subject to the Department of Defense has been exemplary.
Hi, this topic wasn't really mentioned on today's show, but this seems like a good place to post this.
You know, it would be great if any fines levied against anti-choice protestors (who break the law), were DIRECTLY used to fund abortions for poor women.
I think it could help to keep these "pro life" thugs in line.
They can think about that the next time they decide to STALK & threaten medical professionals.
