It seems like the issue with Hagel could be quite simple. Why not appoint Hagel as the new interim leader until the Senate can vote?

If it is true … that we are a “union” of 50 states … and the Federal government has a responsibility to defend ALL citizens … regardless of the state they live in … then how is it that the feds ignore the travesties taking place in a multitude of states. Are you afraid to confront those states? Is it because you are Black and fear being seen as FOX has painted you? If the answer is yes to each of these … then what good is it to have a president or a federal government at all?

The state of Texas has redistricted … they have passed laws for schools that exclude parental involvement … giving the schools more power over the children than their own parents … they have interfered with our voting rights … they invade our privacy … the harass and even rob people they pull over on the streets … while DC has parties and issues threats from outside our nation with no evidence to back them up … totally uncaring for what is taking place right here in your own back yards. You have practiced misinforming the People of truths they deserve to know … we torture … as we condemn other nations for doing so … and now we have decided that we can kill American citizens or any other for that matter ... without provable charges … applied a death sentence … and then proceeded to cowardly kill them with robots. And then “we” have the audacity to call ourselves the “greatest nation in the world.” I find this country disgusting.

Sir, I have been pushed to my limit … and I have nothing to lose … death, to me, is a welcomed friend. The feds once had the nerve to move troops into states to protect the rights of citizens everywhere (take Brown vs. Board of Education as an example) … and now you have all decided that you don’t give a rat’s ass what states do to their citizens … just as long as you can always claim a threat from outside … which keeps you too busy to be bothered with the mistreatment of YOUR OWN citizens.

If you, Eric Holder or NO ONE in the federal government will defend us against the over-reach of state governments … why then … can we not defend ourselves in whatever way we see necessary … without being called terrorists?

Honestly, I do not need your approval … I am simply trying for the last time … to draw your attention to what your administration has failed to deal with thus far. With this measure … your administration … and several previous one’s as well … have failed dismally. You may take your day-to-day actions and hope that your legacy is based on your “hopes” … but your lack of action on these matters will ultimately prove your weakness … and will eventually surface to become your true legacy. And as long as I live I shall make sure that truth comes to light … so … “Annie, get your guns.” I am currently unarmed … but I do live in Texas … and that problem is easily resolved. I have no other “beef” with the federal government other than they are spineless. My current beef is with my state government … and mostly the local officials. I am a harmless person … as I’m sure most people are … but when anyone becomes a threat to one’s family … the tables can turn rather quickly. Think … if someone was raping your daughter … would you react calmly? I seriously doubt it. I wish to do no harm … I would rather our legal and justice system step in and deal with it properly … but I’m afraid I do not see that happening.

I’ve heard more empty promises in my life … than I’ve seen sunsets … so no “words” could ever convince me of anything. If my daughter should continue to be harassed by her local PD … the sitting Judges … Child Protective Services … and the school where her child is an A/B honor roll student, with a Student of the Month award in January … and the feds refuse to acknowledge or deal with the injustices brought to our doorsteps by our state governments then … why would it surprise any of you when a citizen reaches a limit and goes “postal” (no offense to the PO)?

I am pleading with you for assistance. I anticipate no response. I’m sure there is a gala to attend.

I am threatening no one … but … since I CANNOT count on you or the federal justice system … I will not sit by and watch the state of Texas run over my family. You can interpret that however you wish.

I think we have "Marinated" long enough

Anybody ever heard of just being a responsible parent to your pre-K child? Is that so weird? With so many social programs pushing for the government to raise your child for you it's really no wonder the concept of parenting seems so crazy.

I'm afraid that "universal education" on any grade level is an impossibility when so many people (esp. parents) disagree on what is education and what is indoctrination.

I'm really surprised more Republicans don't support this pre-K thing. It's the perfect chance to indoctrinate children under the premise of education.

Some parents think school is free daycare, and are not in a mind to question what their kids are learning.

Republicans are stupid for not capitalizing on this opportunity, then blasting the left later, for opposing preschool education.

Could be the cost of the possibility of indoctinating your own army of "little red soldiers" cut from the ranks of the poor is just too much, because we all know throwing money at poor people is a very bad thing.

Oh, well.

With so much to care about or be concerned with in our country, and our world, it's a shame that we have issues with common sense things such as children. Elder issues I can understand--people give more attention to animals. But our kids are going to be the ones who have our back, and we owe them a clean slate. If we weren't so hell-bent on maintaining an empire, we'd have our priorities in place. But we don't, and who knows when we will.

What he needs to be doing is running a campaign to train his people in compassion, self respect, and hard work. He and Michelle were so stupid for showcasing that 102 black woman standing in line for 4 hours to vote.. What they did by show casing her is showing what a true Democratic district is like. All for me and none for you. If that was a Republican district, that woman would have been shown compassion and pushed to the front of the line. The fact that her fellow Democratic blacks let her stay in line that long says it all. Sad state of things when fellow Americans don't show compassion for one another. Michelle, go and teach your people about helping people rather than expecting to be given handouts. Shame! Shame on you!
