Tonight's guests:
- Sandra Day O’Connor, former Supreme Court Justice and author of “Out of Order”
- Chief Kevin Murphy of the Montgomery, AL police, apologized to Rep. John Lewis for the Montgomery police force failing to protect the Freedom Riders in 1961
And here's executive producer Bill Wolff with a very deep preview of tonight's show:

Dear Rachel, Mr. Wolff & Co. could do their own radio program, so you better treat him right….just saying….not that you do not…. But still….just saying.
Plastic gun parts:
Someone came up with a plastic sheathed small diameter super high velocity round fired from a stock 30-06 rifle which produced no traceable rifling marks on the projectile. It was quickly banned. Why ? NRA, do you want to defend this one as well?
"Old failure man". Bill, I feel your pain. Perhaps it's time to step up and challenge Boo to a card matching game... and CRUSH HIM!!! But first, you should prepare. Training can make all the difference at that age (meaning yours). You should recruit your wife's help.
And a happy March fourth.
My guess is, his wife is one in a million. So you may be right. To him she is his supergirl. I had a supergirl once. But.....I let her down...I could not brag about my kids to any one that would lessen. You know Mr. Wolff has no shame really.
OMG, SERIOUS score to get Justice O'Connor. Majorly. What a wonderful interview!
Rachel, I've enjoyed your coverage of Gay marriage by the Supreme Court. My question is, where was all the cynical criticism of the Chief Justices when they ruled in Liberal favor for Obamacare and Immigration?
Was there something to find fault with in those rulings?
I mean, both of the examples you cite were for the general Good, as opposed to opposition to Gay marriage being for the general Evil, right? Obamacare Helps Americans, in general, and there is nothing unconstitutional about it - and the Justices found that that was the case - but anti-Gay marriage Harms Americans, in general, and there is plenty of reason to believe it is unconstitutional.
Why is that hard for you to understand?
OMG...that had to be one of the most painful interviews to watch with Judge Occonnor. Ok..fine..she was a great judge and probably helped alot of Left issues BUT...she was sooo guarded in this interview with Rachel. You could tell she was purposely holding back and she is trying to hawk her book and she wont give us anything? No personal opinion at all? Nope. Rachel asked a VERY fair question..does racial diversity help the courts..ANSWER: of course it does but Sandra wouldnt say jack. I have never seen someone more bent on holding back even on some very basic questions. This is when she should be open. This is when we should see a little of herself. Why not? Why not get tto know the person behind the decisions? Afraid to show your human? She aint on the courts, what does it matter? Good grief..please dont have her on your show again because she purposely denied common logic on basic questions and continually provided nothing and had this almost insincere grin that I cant place my finger on. Why would I buy a book from Miss Guarded? I can read her briefs online sheesh. Sorry Rachel, I know you like dher but as a viewer, it was painful watching her purposely hold back.
fair is fair. If I ever had to face Rachel, she would end up having me admit cheating at bingo. But I am easy so, that does not prove anything really,
Former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is promoting her book. Other than that, I could find no reason for her being a guest in today' show. Apparently, she would like us to believe Justices belong to a different species, unmoved by personal beliefs, public opinion, political pressure, etc. They are above reproach, their decisions are godlike; always right, fair, and bereft of personal leanings, their political activism is not really political activism, etc., etc. Their abode at Olympus should not be disturbed by the interests and concerns of mere mortals. Got it.
I like your thinking. You are right. We are but thinking humans. Nothing more. What can we possibly do? Kill every man, woman, and child on this planet or...walk on the moon. Or vote. ......silly morals...we make not different really.
From a bad old Wolff fan. It is his fault for getting me interested in music

Sandra Day O'Connor cast the deciding vote in Bush V Gore. A lot of people died because of that vote and a whole generation's hopes and dreams were crushed as well. O'Connor, in my view is a POS. She reminds me a lot of Barbara Bush. Two mean spirited rethuglican women. If there were no people, would laws exist? Of course not. The justice system could not exist alone, but people can exist without a justice system. When asshats like O'Connor and Scalia talk about interpreting legal points without regard to what effect their decisions might have on the people, large percentages of the people, they are selling snake oil. And O'Connor was NOT a great judge. She weakened a lot of laws that protected us, leaving them vulnerable for the next go round at SCOTUS. When she admits she made a terrible mistake when she decided to crown Bush king, then maybe I'll have some respect for her.
AMEN
Rach, when will you comment on this?

Happy Birthday Bill!
After watching the interview with Sandra Day O'Connor I started looking for any comments to see if I was the only one that felt deflated by this interview. It was painful to watch and hear. It left me feeling much less inclined to even want to hear more from her much less read her book. She is protecting a broken SCOTUS.
O'Connor should have recused herself from Bush v Gore. As far as I know this account has NEVER been refuted:
"Sitting in her hostess's den, staring at a small black-and-white television set, she visibly started when CBS anchor Dan Rather called Florida for Al Gore. "This is terrible," she exclaimed. She explained to another partygoer that Gore's reported victory in Florida meant that the election was "over," since Gore had already carried two other swing states, Michigan and Illinois.
Moments later, with an air of obvious disgust, she rose to get a plate of food, leaving it to her husband to explain her somewhat uncharacteristic outburst. John O'Connor said his wife was upset because they wanted to retire to Arizona, and a Gore win meant they'd have to wait another four years."
