So hard for Rachel to just say " Only one side is creating these self imposed crisis...the republicans". Instead she slowly implies it. Hey Rachel, It is not "Both sides do it" when only one side is to blame. Did you forget the Dem bill to prevent the sequester passed with 51 votes in the senate but republicans filibustered it so it was blocked by the minority. Are you afraid to tell it cause you may not be asked back...I know your not so it must be nerves or you want to avoid conflict. But you know the truth...there is no debt crisis...there is no spending problem...and only one side is creating all this drama, crisis and fear...the republicans.

Traditionally, the debt ceiling had been a symbolic cap, an opportunity for
members of Congress in the minority party (including a certain Illinois Senator
Barack Obama back in 2006) to grandstand about the fiscal irresponsibility of
the majority party before the limit was increased. (In Obama’s semi-defense, the
irresponsibility of tax-cutting, big-spending Republicans in the Bush era was
truly breathtaking.) After their big congressional wins in the 2010 midterms,
though, GOP leaders declared that the debt was out of control, so they would not
raise the debt limit without an equivalent amount of spending cuts. They
threatened to force the U.S. government into default—essentially, to crash the
global economy—unless Obama accepted a massive rollback of the welfare
state.

Ms Rachel Maddow failed to mention today that perhaps Hugo Chavez was upset at us was just because we tried to kill him with a coup d'etat we engineered against him in our U.S. Embassy back in April 2002 & the elected president Chavez was lucky to get out alive when Venezuelan captains turned against their generals Pedro Soto & Carlos Molina (that we bribed with some $100,000) & liberated Chavez from where they had sequestrated him after our designated Venezuelan Prez boy Pedro Carmona suspended constitutional rights.
Geez Louis, some guys just get upset for nothing, after all, we did have a right to Venezuelan OIL

Aversion therapy. Ew. That makes me think of having your eyelids propped open in A Clockwork Orange, coupled with a nausea reaction.
Or rather, Rachel #Maddow says our government has become so filled with self-loathing, they have the most in common with the teenaged (and young adult) phenomena of "cutting," or "cutters."
Now there's an image for you, right? Perhaps the "poison" the GOP wants to inflict on the federal government (and by extension, the shut-out states and municipalities) is a form of anorexia, starvation that eventually threatens the life of the person with the distorted self-image.
Or, more accurately, bulimia, since they fully intend to gorge themselves again on federal spending, when the GOP is next in power. But when the Dems are in power, we must all starve, cut ourselves, hate ourselves.

Just saw JUSTICE OCONNOR on The Daily Show..just as I called it on Rachel's show when she had her..she was GUARDED..but to Stewart's credit, he did get her to reveal a little but still not much. AND he called it out on it stating she was guarded...he put her on spot. She's a nice lady but still HORRIBLE FOR INTERVIEWS if you want any true insight. She wont give it. Oh well. I guess its cool that she did alot of good laws passed...but ya know..if ya gonna go out on book tour darn it..I dont care if your the head of the CIA..you got to give us something! Some personal insight..she kept stating, I write an explanation of why I chose this law but doesnt understand why we want some personal account from her to attach to her rulings.,.oh well...Love your show Rachel!
Just missed the early the morning show, I would have like to see how Rachel looked at 7am. Its 7am now , but wrong day....
I am looking forward to checking out her new book!
