If you really want to do this short form thing, clearly you will make a lot of impact with it, and I see the scope of exposure will be broader.

But you leave behind a community of addicted Uppers who will wander the streets aimlesslessly on the weekends looking for some dynamic conversations. We need our long form fix. Maybe Wagner would do something Up like? Or Sam Stein? Or Goldstein? There are some great guests of yours but I don't know who among them has the breadth...

Ok. I am going to be grumpy for at least a month.

Great show tonight. I don't know what I'm going to do without Up. I also don't know how I'm going to find time for Hayes, Maddow, and Jon Stewart on a daily basis.

Re Rock Diva: Won't make a difference. Most of us in the center and the left don't need an immediate family member to have empathy/sympathy for gays, disabled, elderly, etc. Right wingnuts can separate family from politics. You can get your daughter an abortion and still be against a woman's right to chose, you can have a gay daughter and still be a homophobic VP.
